Training report
Would be very appreciative of a training report from anyone who has the good fortune of getting down to the open training this morning? Its days like this that I wished I lived a lot closer to Moorabbin.
I live in Canberra and unfortunately dont get to many games. After the past 2 months I am really bouyant re the management and future of the club.
Go Sainters!

I must be super fit as I don't need to go to the effort of running it. Too easy.
Clark may be rationalising it the same way (if what's being said about him being lazy - or less than enthusiastic - on the track and in the gym is true).

Up at 5 am - took the hound for an hour walk, along the Swan River.D.B.Cooper wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 12:57pmDid an F45 class at 4:45am, took the dog for a walk, went for a 6.5k run.Impatient Sainter wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 12:26pmJust been to the gym myself. Then went to pool for a 2km swim.
Walked from home along the Swan River to Optus Stadium about 4 km, now sitting on my bum until 5.30pm watching the test match between Aus & West Indies. No doubt Iโll stand up & do stretches between overs!!
Then it will be a 4 km walk back from Optus Stadium to home. Ofcourse the hound will be wanting another hour long walk when I get home.
And Iโll rinse & repeat this until the Test match has concluded.

Why do you see the need to pot Clark FFS?Impatient Sainter wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 12:26pmJust been to the gym myself. Im nearly 60 and I bet Im lifting twice as much as Hunter Clark is!

Re: Training report
Why do you think the club were so keen to trade him to North? Because he doesnt have an AFL ready physique or fitness. He is letting himself and the club down not fulfulling his potential. Simple - do the work get the rewards!saynta wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 2:10pmWhy do you see the need to pot Clark FFS?Impatient Sainter wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 12:26pmJust been to the gym myself. Next we hear about your cheekbone symmetry and bionic shoulder?
Don't doubt you kick 50m both legs?
Surprised you haven't been picked up as mature age rookie.

How does 'fat' come into your equation of strength?Yorkeys wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 2:22pmSo more than twice as old and more than twice as fat.Impatient Sainter wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 12:26pmJust been to the gym myself. Im nearly 60 and I bet Im lifting twice as much as Hunter Clark is!

Unless Hunter has changed his application to training, he will be lucky to be playing AFL next year so it wont matter how far he can kick. You only have to look at Olli Hotton's photos from todays training, he has more of midfield prepared physique than Hunter who is now 23 yo, soon to be 24yo.

Re: Training report
I posted a few weeks ago that Hunter would be our new whipping boy. I see one of fellow posters has proven me correct again'
One question though. How the f*** would someone living in Canberra know how Hunter was going training wise?

Just go easy on the whipping, Hunter is just skin and bone, there's no muscle

Re: Training report
The same as you via club reports & photos. Plus you dont have to be from a medical profession to notice that he has 'chicken arms' and no chest definition, typical of a professional footballer.

Re: Training report
Observations from todayโs training:
* Leo Connelly impressed again with his speed and ball use
* Hunter Clark seems very determined and working closely with Lenny..has lovely one touch with his ball handling
* Young Hotton didnโt have to do much but his build reminds me of a young Cotchin
* Sharman bigger all over..needed to bulk up!
* Bytel and Byrnes working hard..clean slate with new coaches
* Billings running laps at pace a good sign after his back surgery
* Max doing a lot of set shot goal kicking
* Stocker not there yet..tipping he starts Monday
* Marshall looks a million dollars..big year ahead
* Hayes lots of set shot goal kicking along with Max
* Jones running laps..honestly not sure where he fits
* Owens a beast..gut runs and his tackling is brutal
* Paton looks less hesitant compared to this time last year
* Ross prowling around taking it all in
* BJ very much more than a minor development coach

Sharman - forward or back?
Hayes - canโt afford to be hesitant in his return, heโll be full on and hard at it.
Stocker - you would have thought heโd be on the track from day 1.
Great opportunity for Bytel, Byrnes & Connolly with the new coaching group.

At least you are consistent - wouldnt expect any less. Wow and you brought out the rolling eyes - inventive, plus the old chest nut of how many games have you played. You have exceeded your word count for the day take some valium and have lie down.saynta wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 2:54pmWhat a steaming smelly pile of horse s***.Impatient Sainter wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 2:50pmThe same as you via club reports & photos. OH and when Clark shows he is ready to step up and train/play to his full potential then people will cease being critical.

How do you find Optus Stadium for cricket loris? Do you miss the WACA? Is it a case of another State's test match dulled by "drop ins"?loris wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 2:07pmUp at 5 am - took the hound for an hour walk, along the Swan River.D.B.Cooper wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 12:57pmDid an F45 class at 4:45am, took the dog for a walk, went for a 6.5k run.Impatient Sainter wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 12:26pmJust been to the gym myself. Re: Training report
According to supporters who actually attend training, rather than sniping from interstate, Hunter is cutting up at training and looks to be fully committed and enjoying himself.WellardSaint wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 2:47pmOh, so Hunter is the new whipping boy, now that Hannas and Geary are outImpatient Sainter wrote: โFri 02 Dec 2022 12:26pmJust been to the gym myself. Seen a couple of reports mentioning Stocker who was actually there at training before going off for a spa. Disappointed that Canberra boy Highmore didn't get a mention.
