Tom Browne
TB was parked up at Bassat's mansion with a camera, and reported that Lyin had been there for 4 hrs.
Then he's *waiting* at RSEA Park as Lyin turns up for a meeting, having arrived earler.
How did he know?
1. Someone at the club leaked both events, and got paid a spotter's fee both times.
OR alternatively...
2. Tom Browne has planted an Apple Airtag tracker on Lyin's white SUV and can track his movements.
A reporter, camera person, and sound engineer driving fron Southbank to Brighton, and Moorabbin, in Melbourne's traffic, requires some prior knowledge and planning.
The meeting at RSEA Park would be known by most staffers.
Why?
I worked for a large insurane company for years, and once a month, as a committee member, had to book a meeting room through MS Outlook.
I knew which rooms were available, and the ones that had been booked- i knew the purpose for their meetings as it was in the title.
A work experience person at the club could see this.
A quick SMS to Browne like 'Board meeting 10am, might be Lyon' is all you need.
The one at Bassat's mansion?
Defintely somebody connected to the inner circle, but not too close, so as to avoid suspicion.
It's not worth your job

Re: Tom Browne
Bassar and Lethers were both adamant that 'we have nobody in mind, but we know the sort of characteristics we're looking for'
Yet now they're happy we all know Lyon's in the gun?

Re: Tom Browne
Do you think they have to tell everyone everything? They just sacked Ratts, they weren't going to immediately say, "We're after Lyon", bit tasteless. They made it crystal clear that the presser was all about Ratts.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Thu 20 Oct 2022 5:08pm Bassar and Lethers were both adamant that 'we have nobody in mind, but we know the sort of characteristics we're looking for'

I think it's fairly obvious the outcome has been determined for some weeks, and all this being played out in the media is a pantomime so we don't look like the bastards that shot Bambi.......WellardSaint wrote: ↑Thu 20 Oct 2022 5:08pmBassar and Lethers were both adamant that 'we have nobody in mind, but we know the sort of characteristics we're looking for'

Fair go, Ross can't even keep a straight face on camera. Tom Browne is probably still trying to work out who keeps leaving a note in his letterbox every night, telling him where and when to find Ross Lyon the next day............

Re: Tom Browne
Disagree in one sense Sainternist, Patrick Smith at least was an erudite wordsmith IMO. Tom Browne, admittedly on the very little I have seen or heard of him, has a very limited command of English, resorts to cliches. For a person who fronts TV cameras, he has some terrible non fluencies in his speech, eg., errr, umm, you know & yeah nah.
Are you still into the film festivals Sainternist? The British Film Festival started yesterday, so catching up with all the quirky English, Irish & Scottish films will thankfully immune and distract me from all the love or hate sentiments on Lyon/Lyin, Ross/Ro$$ to be expressed on S/S over the next couple of weeks.
Oh, well, it’s just the Saints being the Saints and our passionate supporters being just as dippy

Loris...
'will thankfully immunise me'
Because 'immunise' is a verb
Remember, a 'verb' is a 'doing' word

Yep, and he has a few faces to choose from.Dis Believer wrote: ↑Thu 20 Oct 2022 6:02pmI think it's fairly obvious the outcome has been determined for some weeks, and all this being played out in the media is a pantomime so we don't look like the bastards that shot Bambi.......WellardSaint wrote: ↑Thu 20 Oct 2022 5:08pmBassar and Lethers were both adamant that 'we have nobody in mind, but we know the sort of characteristics we're looking for'

Re: Tom Browne
My only knowledge of this media "star" is that, where we sit at Docklands, he was the other side of the fence with a couple of former players once (and during last season).
So virtually within touching distance.
Shorter than both of the former players, and more rotund by some number of cm's.
With a body hugging blue suit, the Channel Logo on his lapel (as with the others).
What really stood out was that he was wearing white, designer label runners.
To pass the time, we reflected on the "White Shoe brigade" of Queensland origin back in the day.
Because, on looks, he fitted the bill.
And out of his league.
Trying to present an appearance of dapper
Too short, too rotund - and white runners to boot!!
The summary was that he probably could not run out of sight
You can tell by looks!!!!
Trying to be what he is not.

Re: Tom Browne
Well that's ruined my planned 2023 home game wardrobe ideas.
Guess it's back to a Brad Hill fleece, sensible heels and Ben Long chinos (now on clearance).
Thought the tight blue suit matched with white air Jordans would be a certainly to get me to the head of the men's room queue with minimum fuss.

That get up might have attracted a willing paramour at the Pride game.
The list changes for 2025 have begun, always an interesting time for an avid supporter.
