Operation Anderson
With the JDG fund remaining untouched, coupled with retirements and Hanners ceased superannuation, surely we'd have the biggest of "warchests" come this time next year? With that in min, Noah Anderson should be our number 1 priority. Surely Deano would be pushing this one pretty hard...

Re: Operation Anderson
I reckon there is something going on in future list management planning like an Anderson, with the way in which we approached this years trade period??

Re: Operation Anderson
Correct. We had a huge contract in front DeGoey that will need to be spread across the group this season.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Thu 13 Oct 2022 3:02pm I reckon there is something going on in future list management planning like an Anderson, with the way in which we approached this years trade period??

Re: Operation Anderson
It's also possible the club knew their chances of landing DeGoey were slim but were happy to throw their hat in ring to leverage from the PR, ie be seen to be active from a pursuit perspective and give the club publicity.CURLY wrote: ↑Thu 13 Oct 2022 3:19pmCorrect. Re: Operation Anderson
We dodged a bullet on DeGoey, imo.
But yes, Noah Anderson would be a fantastic acquisition. Let’s hope his father can be an influence over that

If his Dad wants to make a difference for StKilda he should order Noah to come to us!

Re: Operation Anderson
It was interesting today to hear a number of people musing that Hawthorn did what they did because they fear the inevitability of compromised drafts when Tasmania comes into the competition in 3-5 years time.
They were saying no Club wants to have an aging list when that occurs, hence bite the bullet now and load up on young talent
Interesting perspective
GWS seem to have done similarly

Re: Operation Anderson
My opinion is had DeGoey arrived the likes of Hill & Clark would have departed on favorable terms to North Melbourne.
