Brad Hill Traded?
Clarko met with Brad mid year to sound him out about returning to a club he coaches….rumor..?
What’s Brad worth?
We should jump at norths compo pick if true.

If Hill is what we have been calling out for, what has he been doing for the last three years?

Re: Brad Hill Traded?
If there is any truth to it and Clarko (and North) are keen .... an end of 1st round draft pick (North priority pick) would be an absolute bargainThe Recruit wrote: ↑Mon 15 Aug 2022 2:11am Clarko met with Brad mid year to sound him out about returning to a club he coaches….rumor..?

Lethlean unlikely to allow it but should definitely be considered as Cuddles can't get the best out of him.

Re: Brad Hill Traded?
I doubt it would happen
Incredibly risky move for Ratten to let him go
Hill going to North and absolutely burning it up…
Pretty much the death blow for Brett

Re: Brad Hill Traded?
Trading Hill would be an admission that they were wrong and they would never want to admit a failure, at least publicly.
If they had a time machine and could go back in history and change that trade, I’m pretty sure they would.

Trying to kick his way through a mishmash hodge lodge game plan from defence where he’s never played his best footy I’d suggestkosifantutti wrote: ↑Mon 15 Aug 2022 4:17am If Hill is what we have been calling out for, what has he been doing for the last three years?
If true maybe Clarko smart enough to know that abd says …I know how to use you properly???

Jay Clark reporting on Triple M today that Clarko met with Brad Hill in the middle of the season. Also said he would “expect” Clarko to have a look at getting Hill into North if he goes there.

Re: Brad Hill Traded?
Hill turns 30 next year and is contracted until end 2025, he's but a shadow of his previous stellar career with Hawthorn and Fremantle.
Can't see it happening but if North were to offer a high draft pick and take over the remaining 3 years of his current salary from St Kilda, I would not object.
He's currently ranked at 203, just the 12th best St Kilda player in the comp according to "statsinsider"

Re: Brad Hill Traded?
Why do you assume North will get a priority pick?
They are 5% behind West Coast and play the Suns at Marvel.
West Coast play Geelong.
A 5% swing is possible.

It's been spoken about in the Media ..... IF .... North were granted one ..... it would likely be end of 1st Round
And IF .... North were interested in Hill and IF ..... they were granted an end of 1st Round draft pick then I reckon that trade would be a bargain
Do you agree that pick around 20 would be a bargain for Hill ...... IF we were looking to trade him and North were interested?

Re: Brad Hill Traded?
If we trade Hill for pick 20 turn the lights off and lock the doors. No way on gods green land would we even consider it. Crazy talk.

Re: Brad Hill Traded?
Pick 20 for a 30yo who is struggling to make a significant impact and would free up a fair chunk of salary cap?
Let's face it ..... Hill ain't taking us to the promised land and he isnt going to go to another level
If North/Clarkson were keen and willing to pay that price ...... where do I sign

Re: Brad Hill Traded?
It would be a great result if the club could off load him. When the heat is on in big games he is a complete liability. To think he is our highest paid player that must under mine the faith the other players putting their body on the line have in the club. It was a shocking trade to begin with and his inability to win his own footy has only made it worse. The Recruit wrote: ↑Mon 15 Aug 2022 3:59pm Jay Clark reporting on Triple M today that Clarko met with Brad Hill in the middle of the season. Re: Brad Hill Traded?
Sure was a shocking trade, on top of the Hannebery debacle. Blake Acres should never have been let go and offered more, long-term upside. Have no issue with Hill being off-loaded as it is simply embarrassing, on a number of fronts for him to be our highest paid player. However, if the club genuinely wants to to be fair dinkum with the mess they have got themselves into, they need to send Lethlean packing also. For some bizarre reason, this bloke has remained unaccountable for some of the worst and frankly, incomprehensible club decisions made.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Mon 15 Aug 2022 9:37pmIt would be a great result if the club could off load him.
