Club is likely to lose Bytel due to lack of opportunities.
Damn shame if it happens!

On the positive side, whilst not playing Bytel who has been doing well at Sandy…

We’ve had the opportunity to let Jones gain match fitness in the seniors and rushed Hannebery in for 4 1/4s in 2 games so that we can consider him for another year of will he won’t he play 3 games

I personally don’t think Bytel is AFL standard, however where is the selection integrity when you are performing in the VFL and don’t get elevated.

Hannebery gets two decent but not dominant games in the VFL then straight in, two weeks later he out injured/ managed again.

Similar with Brybes, was killing in the VFL but was not selected.

Don’t think it’s exclusive to StKilda, but there are different rules for different players IMO.

I think that Bytel is a better footballer than Byrnes but they seem to compliment one another.
