Smart player, love that he goes unheralded.
Excellent judge of a ball in flight and reads it earlier than his forwards, hence can play on bigger players

Re: Wilkie's scalps
Wilkie and Dougal are a fantastic duo, they work well together.
They know where to run to support each other.
When Dougal takes a pack mark over the back, look at Wilkie and Battle- these 2 are putting body into the fwds in the pack, to push the pack under the ball, legally.
100% of those marks, Dougal is at the back.
It's been rehearsed at training so many times, it's now instinct.
Like when someone has a black belt in a martial art, repetition makes it instinct

Re: Wilkie's scalps
Right up there with Marshall, Sinclair and Paton. All four were rookies, who most others missed or discarded, and they have all been huge part of our revival. Wilkie, being the oldest when selected, has been remarkably consistent and hasn't put a foot wrong. I reckon this gives him the edge over the others, but they were all very important selections.

Re: Wilkie's scalps
Love Wilkie, but Paton was on Greene for most of the game from what I saw..
Weird table with him attributed to players he played on for 1 quarter ie Walters, Greene etc.. paton took those scalps
