Dylan Roberton will play with Frankston YCW in 2022

There was a very accomplished footballer running around at Frankston YCW’s pre-season training on Monday night.

Dylan Roberton, the 2017 AFL All-Australian squad member, looked fit, keen and happy back at his junior club.
The former Fremantle and St Kilda 129-game defender will resume playing after a heart scare cut short his league career.
“He’s in great nick, super fit,” Frankston YCW coach Paul Goonan said.

“He just wants to play.
“I said to him, ‘do you want to do any coaching?’ He said he’d rather not, he just wants to play footy.”

Roberton, 30, made his name as a defender in the AFL but Goonan said he was open to playing in other positions for YCW.
“We’ve spoken about everything,” Goonan said.
“He made the All-Australian squad in 2017 as a defender, so we know he’s an A grade defender, that’s obvious, but he’s spoken about how he’d love to play forward.
“We’ve even spoken about wing roles…so he’s going to be that classical swing man.
“During the game he’s going to be able to play anywhere.
“He’s open to anything and everything at the moment.”

Dylan has his own, and it kicks in automatically if required

• The internal defibrillator implanted into Roberton’s chest will also remain to safeguard against any occurrences of heart arrythmia.

Depends who the player played for and if the tribunal looked for reasons to clear him as per player/team
