Points needed to match potential bid for Academy players

This year we have two academy midfielders who potentially could have bids made for them in the second round of the draft. With our poor draft hand and only 1906 points to play with, how can we possibly match those bids? The players in question, by all reports, are worthy of mid to late 2nd round selection.

Anyone know how we can do this? will it mean that we have to let a free agent or two leave, or trade someone out for a pick?

If they are picked by someone else in the first 20 we lose them.

Neither are ranked top 20, so let's hope that doesn't happen. I think the highest either of them have been ranked is at pick 27
