Two of the last three times St Kilda has finished 10th, we've gone on to finish bottom of the ladder the next season, 1987-88 and 1999-2000, while the other, we finished on top the following year. (1996-97).
Overall St Kilda has finished 10th on nine occasions. Only once have we played finals the following year (1996-97).
2021 is the fourth time St Kilda has dropped from playing finals to finishing 10th.
Let's hope we can repeat the 1996-97 formline in 2022 (and go one better).

If we finished 10th in the days of the final four, we were unlikely to jump to fourth or beyond. It’s really only relevant to look at what’s happened since a final 8 was in play.
