Why did we rush back Hunter Clark?

Post: # 1917545Post Impatient Sainter »

If he has rebroken his jaw with that little contact, there is no way he was ready to return. His jaw got smashed to pieces in the McKay hit and obviously hasnt had sufficient time to heal.

This club has such a shyte record of sending players out who are just not ready!

That on top of the amount of hamstrings and lower leg injuries we have had this year is a real concern IMO.

Just reported it was concussion and hopefully no breaks. I still think he shouldn't have been risked for the remainder.

We’ve done it all year

Started with Marshall... saw it with Jones, now Clark

Reeks of desperation

Short term thinking is crippling

Should've played Ryder and Hannebery.

You forgot Billings but I get your point playing injured/underdone players is a recipe for disaster which is how our year has turned out :(

Right you are

Certainly haven’t gained anything with Billings. Destroyed his cred and his confidence

You got any data to back up the "shyte record of sending players out who are just not ready"

Jesus, our players have been poorly managed this year. Some of these guys will get run into the ground in playing for St.Kilda 🙄

Put Clark in mothballs now....just let him recover properly, we're no longer playing for finals

Maybe we've got the same performance/conditioning staff that we had under Cho.

Maybe it's the same people who ticked off on Hannas medical before we agreed to sign him up

Can we simply lose all the remaining games for the rest of the season.
With the injury list it can't be deemed tanking.
We could end up with draft pick 4.

Then when the recruitment monkeys suggest they don't want the best available mid fielder but would prefer to resurrect Paddy McCartin because he comes from good family
Then the pick 4 could be split in two to prevent its' misuse.

Many players are half broken and semi cooked this time year, or play injured. I am glad they are trying, but I’m afraid this latest batch will cause more conservative decision making….mind you, season itself is now broken and cooked.

Perhaps Bytel is one being quietly rested while Kent and co. (Trigger clauses?) play on.

You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Just by the by, anyone else think Hunter Clark might be best as a forward?

Higgins King Sharman
Clark Marshall Billings

Look ok?

Am not agains him resting up forward for patches but it seems like like it would be a waste of his talent

Not as big a waste as Clarke sitting in the grandstand on match days injured, discussing the game with Hannebery.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Interchange?

but must try to call in before warm up if he doesn't feel like playing. Same rule for mids of course.
