Does anyone believe the media BS?

Post: # 1913789Post CURLY »

Reported that the club told Dunstan at the start of the season. Now does anyone seriously believe that a conversation like that was had? A playing list of 36 and you tell one player he won't be getting a senior gig. Who the hell makes up this garbage and even worse who believes it.

I dealt with this matter in the thread on Luke Dunstan posted by Skeptic: this scuttlebutt was first raised by Foxtel's Tom Morris who like many AFL journos, notably Caroline Wilson, make up stuff utilising unnamed sources to try and grab the media spotlight - that's their trade, a bit like tow trucks chasing ambulances...by igniting a spark they hope to start a bushfire, when in reality there's not a grain of truth in the garbage they publish.

Treat anything and everything you hear or read that does not have a authentic and reliable source with the scepticism it deserves and ignore it!

He worked at the Saints as the media guy

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Two things.

One Geary has a one year contract offer for next season. Even if you or others think its not a good move a contract gets offered to players all the time. So very much a possibility.

Second. Its so far from the truth or reality a coaching group in the AFL would tell a fit contracted player they won't be playing seniors this season.
