That's a lot of marks.
Is that due to better accuracy with our kicks, kicking it to his advantage?
Or because the Lions' better marking/spoiling players were under pressure to man up on RoMa and Ryder, therefore Skunk had less pressure?
I suspect its a combination of both, with emphasis on the second choice.
Everyone in the league respects the influence of our 2 rucks.

Re: Skunk 14 marks
Early on last year, it felt like playing our 2 rucks, notwithstanding that they were our 2 best - Marshall and Ryder - was overkill.
But, they have learned to work well together - and their positive influence flows across the whole the team, especially helping take the heat off our regular marking forwards, as you've perceptively pointed out.

It’s because of a few things
His work rate to get up the ground as an outlet and work back toward goal.
Being sent behind the ball in the back 5 mins of a couple of quarters
Being opposed to Marcuse Adams who zoned off to intercept mark and allowed Membrey to go up the ground while he stayed in D50
