The ladder buckles…a new beginning..,

Post: # 1912345Post shanegrambeau »

Look at those injury lists!

My early season predictions may ring true!

Geelong, West Coast and Richmond now struggling..

I said Bullies would be strong and they are…

Melbourne are now getting iffy.

Geelong…they can paper over a few cracks…they lost Duncan a fortnight ago, now Cameron is a long term out for hammy. They are back to the big Hawk and Rohan..who is next to fall.

West Coast
Diabolical weaknesses

Melbourne
Starting to look fragile. Ben Brown back in but he isn’t part of that ‘machine’ they had going for a while.

Richmond
They are ina massive rut and their injury list is huge.

Brisbane and Bulldogs are still trouble

And then maybe Port still have some kick.

But in the last part of the season I think we can give it a good shake.

Didn’t mention Sydney teams….dunno..we might not get another chance to beat Sydney like we had.

Injuries to key players is the single most important factor

Not often I agree with you but this time yo are 100% correct.

Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Yes, it’s crucial we don’t fall in a heap on Saturday.

We actually beat Brisbane up there once, way, way back in 2015!

Armo and Joey were the stars, but curiously, Sincs, JWeb, Billings, DMac,Lonie all played that day.

Imagine if we had Gresham, Clark, Paton, Carlisle and Jones fit and firing. I'd probably back this team in against Brisbane and then to make finals

B: Paton, Howard, Wilkie
HB: Webster, Carlisle, Sinclair
C: Hill, Steele, Billings
HF: Higgins, Marshall, Gresham
F: Butler, King, Membrey

Foll: Ryder, Crouch, Jones
Int: Byrnes, Clark, Ross, Wood

Gresham, Jones and Clark is basically our list of players with x-factor. They're the guys who can break a game open with run, dare and creativity. Without them we're a very workmanlike, battling team.

Geelong won by seven goals last week and just came off a win a couple of weeks ago against the 'Dogs.
They are in the top 4.

Melbourne are second (on percentage).

Neither of these sides are what I would call struggling or in trouble.

Agree. I fear we will ultimately miss finals (probably on percentage) because of this and the absence of other key players - Marshall, Ryder, Carlisle - at various times.

Melbourne kicked seven goals! Their forward line us not sorted...They have Gawn, Lever,May, Pickett eric., a couple of good kids....Forward set up is now turning to Ben Brown...highly iffy. He’s a good player...sure, so is Max.

Geelong..Dangerfield is starring, but still not sure of ruck and big injuries. And Selwood is now more eye-gauger than silk forger.

I just worry about Zorko. Captain. Working class hero. 200 games.

Bradley Hill will be tagged this week.

Don’t get angry if he gets 6 possessions this week!

It maybe BMac and Sinckairs best chance to star yet!
