Sandringham v Box Hill
Box Hill killing them out of the centre and their small forwards dangerous.
McKernan looking mobile forward and marking well. Woods took a nice pack mark and goaled right just before quarter time. Sandi player kicked a nice 50m goal after the siren.
1/4 time Box Hill 45 Sandi 26.

Re: Sandringham v Box Hill
2nd quarter Sandi kicking with the wind and had a big quarter.
Sandi 84 v Box Hill 47
Lonie kicked 3 goals and really busy.
Dunstan kicked 3, been good.
Clavarino took a nice mark in defence but then handballed it straight to his opponent.
Allison playing HBF, plenty of dash and too a nice high mark in defence.
Frawley steady in defence.
Highmore having a huge game, big stats.
Long a couple of sound touches in defence.
Connolly is a very neat kick and getting a bit of the ball.
Alabakis is an absolute spud. Cant judge the ball in the air at ruck contests or marking contests. He cant even hold his position when he does have front position to use his height.
Disposals to half time:
Highmore 18 with 9 Mark's
Dunstan 19
Lonie 11
Connolly 15
McKernan & Wood a goal each.
What a difference it makes having a few AFL players back out there.

Re: Sandringham v Box Hill
3rd quarter a huge come back by Box Hill kicking with the wind.
Sandi 91 v Box Hill 88
Sandi really struggled getting forward in that quarter and when they did all their tall forwards were 2nd to the ball.
Disposals
Highmore 25 & 13 marks is marking everything
Dunstan 30
Connolly 23
Lonie 17

Re: Sandringham v Box Hill
Alabakis actually took an overhead mark that 1/4, but he and Hunter are absolute spuds. When they do win taps they consistently just drop at their feet.
I dont know who the young Box Hill ruckman is but he is going well.
McKernan must be injured havent seen him since 1/2 time. No back on just turned it over.

Re: Sandringham v Box Hill
Wind has dropped to zip, and Box Hill wanting it more atm. Exact same game as last week, in the contest for 3/4 and then get out worked in the last.
Box Hill played smart short kick style and Sandi had no answers.
Dunstan trying hard, but doesnt have too many friends!

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Sandringham v Box Hill
We have a bye next week. All these damn teams in the league and we have byes? And after three weeks?
22 teams, 11 matches per round, 21 rounds per season. Surely that would work??

Re: Sandringham v Box Hill
Kent was ko'd off the ball in the first quarter. He took no further part in the match.
The Box Hill player was reported. Does anyone know how many weeks he got?

McCartin got 5 weeksBernard Shakey wrote: ↑Tue 04 May 2021 2:48pm Kent was ko'd off the ball in the first quarter. He took no further part in the match.

In his defence, McCartin - a type 1 diabetic - raised the fact that his blood sugar was low (3.8, when the ideal range is 5 to 10), which made him more agitated than usual.
He had some gel to raise his blood sugar level before the game, but it had not yet come into effect when the incident occurred.

He has more issues than any other footballer playing. How the hell did they overlook all of this stuff!
They couldn't have f***ed it up better if they tried.

Re: Sandringham v Box Hill
Jamie Cripps is diabetic.
Manages to get picked for the WCE most weeks.
Career Average 12.8 disposals.
(He found out he was diabetic before 2011 draft, didn't want to tell Saints about it cos we may not have picked him)

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn
