What else is planned
I am not sure if anyone else noticed this but it was mentioned when the reporting on Crouch and our first round pick that "StKilda do not have it on the table as they have other plans for this"
Other plans ...This may now just be to use it but seems more to me than that.
Wonder what it is? Would they do a deal with Richmond switch first round picks with Higgins deal - perhaps we throw in a fourth rounder . This way we retain a first rounder which potentialy important if there are plans to act on next years pick?
May be nothing to it .

Re: What else is planned
Pick 15 might be for Treloar, i don't know if that''s true but some footy speculators think it's possible.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: What else is planned
That pick 15 is already pick 17 due to AFL free agent compensations for Joe Daniher and Zac Williams.
It will probably slip to around pick 20 or beyond as clubs queue jump to collect their father-sons and Next Generation Academy players.
The club could be looking to upgrade it as they trade out some fringe players.

Re: What else is planned
Jaidyn Stephenson?
#6 Stehenson #7 Clark # 8 Coffield
Stephenson burst onto the scene in year 1 as rising star and has stagnated in year 3.
Interesting that in year 3 Coffield arrived as a consistent AFL player and Clark showed his skills and class going ion the opposite direction to Jaidyn.
Stephenson has the tools to be a devastating wingman in the future, I wonder if we'd be interested.

Pick 15 for Steven?
Would Geelong do it?

Re: What else is planned
Jaidyn Stephenson is another strange case. You have to ask the question why Colingwood would be entertaining the idea of moving him on. Off field issues? His inability to lay a tackle or even have the intent of tackling? His inability to absorb physical pressure? Maybe all of the above. The Pies were licking their chops when they got him. We grabbed Hunter Clark with the next pick. I think we won that one, just quietly.

Stephenson looked like a great pick up in his first year.

Re: What else is planned
Should we ask Adelaide if they want to trade Matt Crouch this year before he comes as a FA next year?

Re: What else is planned
Stephenson's body looks exactly the same as it did when he was drafted.
I'm concerned either he hasn't put in the work to put on any muscle and size or his genetics don't allow it.
It's a no from me

Re: What else is planned
It could be using it this year, to allow future year first round picks to be traded.older saint wrote: ↑Wed 04 Nov 2020 5:27pm I am not sure if anyone else noticed this but it was mentioned when the reporting on Crouch and our first round pick that "StKilda do not have it on the table as they have other plans for this"

.
But I would prefer if it was to gain another really good player now. And I don't mean Higgins who we should be able to get without using our first round pick.

He originally went pick 17, he's on a decent contract and notwithstanding his health issues, he is good.
