Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Re: Adelaide Oval
If the AFL force us to play at Adelaide oval St Kilda should seriously consider taking Legal action against them. I am sick to death of these crooked f****** cheats.

That sucks, Saints have earned the right to nominate a home final. Bent over by the AFL again.

Re: Adelaide Oval
Brisbane will play at the Gabba obviously.
Port Adelaide will play Adelaide Oval obviously.
West Coast will play in Perth despite being required to quarantine (infection isolate) for a week.
If we play in Queensland it could well be at Metricon.
We won twice at Adelaide Oval, it may upset the Bulldogs more than us.

Re: Adelaide Oval
All good. Both teams have to travel and we’ve won there twice this year
The downside negative is ONLY centred around the fan/supporter base and the families who have already settled up in the hub. Some of them (including some corporates who were looking forward to a QLD final) will miss out on making the trip to Adelaide. So what!!
Ratts has already told us on Foxfooty earlier tonight that the players and coaches will play where-ever the game is scheduled and it makes no difference as far as their preparation is concerned.

Re: Adelaide Oval
What about Geary? Hasn't his missus settled into the hub to have the baby? If he goes to Adelaide and quarantines for a week he won't be able to get back will be? Without quarantining for another week?

Re: Adelaide Oval
Metricon 2-1
Gabba 3-3
Adelaide 2-0
Seems like we’ve done well there this year, why do some people just continually want to find things to whinge about? Let’s hope they’re a bit more resilient inside the hub!

Re: Adelaide Oval
Playing at Adelaide it will be fly in - fly out.
Could be same day but with an afternoon game it could be fly in the evening before.
Yes he may be away at the crucial time but that could happen playing in Queensland.

Re: Adelaide Oval
The AFL told Victorian clubs they could chose the venue for a earnt home final. The choices being The Gabba Metricon and The Adelaide Oval. The StKilda football club chose as per the AFLs rules the Gabba. The clubs preferred venue the one it earnt the right as per the AFLs rules.
That’s the issue DUD the AFL will now backflip on that which is a decision the club will be unhappy with.

Re: Adelaide Oval
The real disappointment will be for the Queensland saint supporters who have shown their support in recent weeks.
Plus families of players will likely miss out, trapped in Queensland.

Re: Adelaide Oval
Very strange decision given the amount of sacrifice all clubs have made but especially us (of course) with our families up there. Not playing finals for 9 years and then they send us away with no with no families able to attend. Its despicable.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Re: Adelaide Oval
Interesting that it was reported on the news before tonight's match that Adelaide only likely if St KIlda finish 6th despite Ratten indicating the Gabba is our preferred venue.
In other words, the AFL unlikely to force Collingwood to play there if they had won tonight.
That theory was back-up in the discussion "On The Couch" tonight.

Re: Adelaide Oval
We would go to Adelaide oval knowing that we can play that ground well. It would probably be a mental edge if anything...
But the AFL can get f***ed.

Re: Adelaide Oval
f******, cocksucking, bunch of f****** pricks. Strategically, I don't care, personally, selfishly, I am f****** mortified. We will have to smash the Dogs and then take the Gabba from Brisbane. What then? Geelong in Perth?
