The eagles didn't even pull the cue out of the rack after the coach told the AFL to stick this years comp up thier arse. Most clubs just want this season to be over. You'll know when our club has put the cue in the rack, Bytel will get picked.

Is the prize money the same as it is for full strength competition? We are probably in the same camp as the Gold Coast, we are owned by the AFL and they call the shots so maybe our club can see some benifit in winning the Asterisk but from what I'm hearing it's a finely balanced tinderbox presently.

Sure if you believe AFL players aren't effected by what is going on in this world atm. I know otherwise.

Lions seem mentally soft notwithstanding all its talent. Several very skillful A grade players, but there was no strong leader to challenge Dangerfield and Selwood when they got physical and extremely serious. Lions appeared to prematurely shoot its collective bolt and gob off when Neale kicked that great goal that put the 20 plus in front - far too early to count their chips and tease the animals. Cats professionals then showed a lot of class and grit, I am disappointed to say - but it will go no further, right. Lions didn't tank because who would purposely go for the 9 goal to zip humiliation of the third quarter.
