Re: Moorabbin
Won’t happen.
Don’t know what went wrong but there was only 8,100 there last night.
Plenty of space in the outer.
Maybe the ticketed bit turned people off.
It’s fantastic as a practice match and AFLW venue.
Would cost a fortune to build the stands and infrastructure needed.
The AFL own us. They give us $20M a year.
They wouldn’t be interested

Re: Moorabbin
It’s a shame because I think if we could something like Geelong and Kardinia (which I know is a pipe dream)... pbly the difference btw financial viability vs remaining a minnow minnow

Re: Moorabbin
Moorabbin had a cap of 10,000 last night, which I am sure most people knew but we will never play a game there. Building temporary stands costs money as you have to take them down.
Parking is atrocious and we don't have toilets, and amenities for the sale of food etc there to handle a crowd any bigger than we had last night.

Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: Moorabbin
Besides, Dave McNamara and The Fireman are rumoured to be deep in negotiations to play our home games at Junction Oval!
The question I have of our list is who will open the batting and bowling?

Re: Moorabbin
This ticketing rubbish last night prob caused the low crowd of 8K which is very poor.
Practice matches with 2 Vic teams should draw at least 12K.
I think a few people didn’t want to do the ticketing thing
