I don't think so, but report my post if you feel hard done by.

Just think it's weird that in a post quoting another, both containing baiting and abuse, one of the posters is warned and edited and the other isn't.

I don't want you banned Con, so let's just settle down for a week at least?

This quote for me pretty much sums up the height of altering views.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic and I missed it as I'm doing this hurridly and secrtively at work... but if not, I have no idea how this could be considered a rational thought.
Why would you want to persevere with an aging player that is playing HORRIBLY despite being top 5 at our club instead of trying to develop a younger player who's performance at Sandy has earn't him a shot.

IIRC, you were also the one who wrote Lee off a few rounds into last season as well... you're really quick to write the young ones off eh?

I cant remember writing off Lee but it looks like if I did I could be right. No sarcasm at all with what i said. I rate Dunnel as purely a seconds players. And his recrd pretty much suggests that. As for playing young over older players well we have that many young ones in the side at the moment so a few experienced players wouldnt hurt. Schneider was just about best against Essendon. Thats a few games a go but I doubt Dunnel will ever get in the best. Im pretty sure you were the one who said that players may have made it but werent given a chance. I reckon experience shows that more players artent up to it than up to it. Dunnel has been around long enough to take chances if he was or good enough. His 2 coaches have at the moment thought him not good enough. By the way i cant really ever remember backing up CJ unless we are talking 3 years ago and back then I think its fair enough. As for Jimmy i know I have never backed him up. That doesnt mean I dont rate him.

11 rounds in, 3 wins, third last on the ladder. Time to give Tom Lee an opportunity, and don't care if he hasn't 'earn' t' his chance. We'll worry about earning spots when we are in a more competitive position. Right now, we need to develop and workout who is gonna make it, and who is not.

Siposs showed glimpses and has had little opportunity. Stanley has had plenty and hasn't proved himself. Perhaps he gets an opportunity later in the year or he reloads for next year. Times running out.

Playing Jones has become redundant. I'm not sure he adds much at this stage of our growth as a football club. Loyal servant and all but I prefer giving Ross further opportunity than cutting Ross. Weller may struggle to get up. Armo likely available.

In:
Armo, Webster and Lee (forward/2nd ruck)

Out:
CJ, Weller and Stanley

Milera sub

When a team is getting flogged as we are regularly, then it's pointless hoping that there will be some magical turnaround, and the experienced players will regain old form and inspire the young players- it won't happen..Roo excepted. Players need to be turned over, the coach needs to try a few new things rather than try and save face...good coaches think outside the box.

We are not getting enough value from Schneider, Jones and Stanley- and Stanley is not going to improve, so time to turn over players until we get a more competitive effort.

Simpkin is probably the only choice with Gwilt, Gilbert and Fisher still injured.

Webster, Saunders Armitage all have to come in. FFS having Jones playing in the back half is like awarding a team a four goal start.

Out: Delaney, Weller, Jones, Stanley

In: Simpkin, Armo, Webster, Lee

They have a really flexible forward line so need big plus Webster.

When do the coaches start to say "lets rotate the youngsters through and see what they can do?" Stanley has had a fair run, Syposs is having a crack now (and reading the Sandy reports he didn't really hit his straps in the VFL until his last game).

Time to see Markworth get a chance to prove himself, possibly for Ray. Leave Ross in - it took Armo a while to really prove himself at AFl level.

Out...1. Delaney If he doesnt come up after hip injury. 2. Jones. 3. Schneider. 4. Stanley.

In... 1. Simpkin or Roberton, whichever played better in the scratch match.
2... 2, Armo. Sorely missed.
3.... Webster, if he showed any form at all in the scratch match.
4... Lee. 5 in the scratch match. Goal kicker badly needed.

Dragit

Con DID get a warning at the same time. AND just like redeemer - it was noted in his post;

Schneiders form has been ordinary at least we will get some effort from Dunnell & Billings hasnt been great recently either.

What about once in your posting career Plugger you come up with an original thought rather than just criticisibg everyone else?

pant pant. Wag tail.

Yep all real consistant moderating.
Agree - this is plainly inconsistent...??
Totally consistent.

Con received 2 warnings in this thread. The first bait which resulted in redeemer responding and receiving a warning (both warnings issued at the same time) and then Con received a second warning (issued the next day) as per below;

Mixed messages from every coach who ever conceded that his team is in rebuild mode

Sometimes, they retain the older guys, who seem to be selected on reputation rather than current ability.
"They're providing on-field leadership..."
"We need to protect the younger guys from huge blow-outs , as it will shatter their confidence, so we keep them in the VFL to learn under less pressure..."

And when they promote younguns:
""The 100 pt thrashing was a learning experience...they can take a lot from that..."

So what is it?
Cottonwool for the younguns, keep them at Sandy, play the pensioners...
or
Throw them into the furnace to see what they can do?
Seems like coaches give spin better than a crooked politician.

I like the forward line. Lots of goals there if we could by some miracle break even in the midfield

Isn't Jimmy only out because he snotted some bloke. He should come straight back in when allowed, presumably this week.
Ross can't be given just one week. Surely then he would jump at the end of the year while the Club is still deciding about his future. (another cripps). It is important how the young ones are managed which I am sure the Club is doing well
