I wonder if he mentions king hitting Riewoldt in 2004. Probably not because it actually happened.

Two skid marks in the jocks of humanity.

Such a s***, s*** bloke.

Just a genuine germ of a person.

Funnily enough my unhealthy hatred of Geelong has diminished since he retired, and Bomber left.
Jeez I despised them.

If only we rolled them, everything would be different. Schneider,Mcqualter and Milne will have to live with the fact they cost us our premiership for the rest of there lives

As most people now know, local Geelong footballer Casey Tutungi sustained an horrific injury recently which has left him a quadriplegic. There is of course a lot of emotion down this way and a lot of fundraising going on. People, including Saints supporters attending tomorrow night's game, will be expected to give generously. And they WILL give generously because in times such as this club loyalties mean very little.

Matthew Scarlett is a team mate of Casey's down at South Barwon.

These book extracts won't cause the loss of one cent in donations from Saints fans. Nonetheless, it's very poor timing because it causes us to view Scarlett in the worst light when he could be leading the charge to encourage us Sainters to give generously. We will; not because of Scarlett but rather in spite of Scarlett. And that's a shame.

Poor timing by who ever was responsible IMO.
Oh for the love of god why do we all have to care about some guy that unfortunately got injured doing something he didnt exactly have to be doing.

Sheesh

i kinda agree with ya , 100s of people each day get hurt seriously doing things just cause this guy happend to have AFL mates it becomes a big out pour of support - last year we had one of our guys at works wife lose her life after her car was ran into by a another car with the two kids under 5 in the back , these kids have lost their mother their father is a mess and ontop of that both have got burns to their body and in the case of the yongest a bad case of whiplash that required her to be in a full body cast ... we raised funds for this family and we did a big effort busting our arses to get $30K to help pay for medical bills ect Casey Tutungi injurys were terrible and i feel for him and his family but really why is he more deserving of help from strangers than any other person who doesnt know AFL players ??

He isnt more deserving but people who play or involved in Aussie Rules choose to help out a guy who got injured playing a sport a lot of us love. He isnt lucky to know people in the AFL, the others are just more unlucky.

Is there any reference to his mother and her life choices in his book?

"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."
