riewoldt is an outstanding leader off the field as well as on.
F.ebola is a 30 year old ratbag off the field.
taking f.ebola is taking st kidla back to the 80s when we pick up every has been bad for a season or two.
I hope, i really hope we don't take this bad fish into the club.

The bloke was an ice addict... and with all due respect probably still is,
phew....dodged a bullet there..
thank god for Lovett.
Did you take notes at the Richmond games poindexter? - we might yet be able to get Hardwick a copy for future reference....cause he's wrong and lying in his view of Cousins contribution at Richmond.....and you have the REAL story....
Gold.

Aside from his issues and he has a few the reality with Fevola is the game no longer suits 1 trick fwds with no defensive pressure, who are pure lead-up and not contested grabs. Riewoldt is suffering through this now and I hope he can change aspects to his game to get some domination back.Dan Warna wrote:riewoldt is an outstanding leader off the field as well as on.

If anything we need a stand and deliver fwd aka Cloke - not Fevola. Both Kosi/Roo are pushed off the ball way to easily IMHO but good when they get a run and jump at it.

Wow now we are not allowed to watch player perform and rate. Simple yet effective.
But you are allowed to use as an argument the impact he had on his teammates. An effect not only near impossible to measure but definitely impossible to measure from outside the club.
What was this effect on his teammates? Was it emotional? Was it confidence? Was it jealousy he was taking ones spot in the team? Was it intimidating? Was it pity?
And I'm not a poindexter. Don't whinge and sook Teffers when someone critisizes your opinion.

Your only claim against Cousins coming to St Kilda is because he had a drug problem. It irks you it didnt hinder his efforts at Richmond so you need to find some pathetic reason to justify St Kilda not taking him. Lame.
Again, you dont like the FACT the Richmond coach is on record in talking up the benefits they got from having Cousins around the place - so you play that down cause "one day you went to a game..".....
Well done.

Really?plugger66 wrote:Why would they want him? They have Buddy and Roughead ready next year.SainterK wrote:Fev will go to the Hawks
I thought Roughy suffered a setback and isn't due to at least after the halfway point next year, and even if Buddy is OK or not (I reckon it's an ACL) tonight showed the potential fallout if he did go down.
Would think both will play round one so no idea why they would want some loser like Fev. Buddy's looked nothing like an ACL to me. Jared knee at worst IMO.SainterK wrote:Really?plugger66 wrote:Why would they want him? They have Buddy and Roughead ready next year.SainterK wrote:Fev will go to the Hawks

Totally wrongjoffaboy wrote: totally wrong. You never "get over" an addiction. You are an addict for life.
SOME poeple never get over addictions and live with them
some people do
ever met an ex smoker who can hang out at a smoky bar and still not want to light up
some people can be addicted to heroin for years and after beating there addiction never even get tempted again
seems to me that the usual subjects are again more interested in playing the man then the ball as evidenced by their own "FACTS" to discredit rather than win an argument or contribute to a discussion
My personal opinion on the matter
Whilst disappointed at the time, I happily accepted the decision not to take Cousins - factor in the attention he would have brought on us, the risk, the Gardiner connection - I accepted that the ppl i/c knew enough to make the right call
the cost was very very low though
Whilst I thought Lovett was the type of player we needed and wasn't initially unhappy with that trade... (although IMO we clearly paid over the odds in the search for a quck pick - was never worth more then a 2nd round pick at best) we wasted a 1st round pick on a risky player with a poor attitude.
Personally I don't think you can justify the stance on Cousins with accepting Lovett who came at a far greater cost
Marto called it at the time and I think he got it right
if you look at it like this... what's the best deal
a) Cosuins for pick 99'ish
b) Lovett for pick 20'ish
c) Fevola for pick 100'ish
It seems poor to me that the only risk we're willing to take is on B.
No to all of them makes sense, but if you take a punt how is that the best one.
The only justification for Fev IMO is
a) he costs us nothing
b) can play right away
c) has x-factor we don't have (can goal against momentum
d) would be on an air tight contract
we could get him and concentrate on landing a premium midfielder
that may actually be a good outcome
anyone watch him today?
he sooked, he gave away soft frees, he complained to the umpire, and didn't chase him man, who scored a goal. He rarely left the goal score and lambasted a team mate who didn't pass to him.
showed enough to suggest that he hasn't matured at all. He's still a petulant little boy at 30.
Not worth the risk if we are playing for a flag next and definitely not worth the risk if we are rebuilding.
