Should the Fan Forum and Opposition Forums be merged?

I would like a calculus forum for those that want to discuss the finer points of differentiation and integration.

Although I would settle for a general mathematics forum.

I think it's important to know why we are asking forumites for their opinion on this topic.

The reason why the topic has come up is because when some AFL news transcends the club news like Cousins, Carey or Israel Folau, Karmichael Hunt etc, it may be good for us to discuss it on the Fan Forum rather than the Opposition Forum.

If it transcends things and influences the Saints because it is really big news etc...then it can be posted here.

Otherwise if it is about an opposition club 100% it goes to the Opposition forum.

Using Luje Ball as another example...when he was in the process of walking out on us...it was ok here. But once he becomea 100% red light running Pie posts on him show go in the Opp. Forum.

This forum should mainly be on the Saints...and not on anything remotely to do with Footie..IMO !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whethere the Opp forum is lightly us ed or not I believe is irrelevant...as the presecence of BigFooty wil probably influence that.

The problem I have with the suggestion to merge is that it is not always possible to tell the thread content from the title.

Something like "Another Injury Scare" could have people flocking to the thread in their thousands only to find out that Fevola has done another groin......

Lol, yes some time ago the mods, in the nicest possible way, asked posters to make thread titles meaningful - so folks don't have to waste time opening stuff of no interest to them....

You still have heaps of topics like, 'look at this', 'are you like me' 'I rang' etc etc

Again to make perfectly clear, it is the merger of the Fan Forum and the Opposition/General Footy Forum that is being discussed.

The General Forum and the Cheersquad Forum will still remain as they are.
