Now he's supposably heading to Brisbane.

Any team has got to fear a Fevola/Brown combination!
EXCLUSIVE: The Brisbane Lions are closing in on Brendan Fevola.

The Lions are poised to secure Fevola in exchange for Daniel Bradshaw and Michael Rischitelli.

They are understood to have come to terms with Carlton, pending the agreement of Bradshaw and Rischitelli.

The two Lions are expected to meet Carlton officials in Melbourne tomorrow.

Michael Voss will be confident he can handle Fev, but can he?

Could I have the link for the story, thanks.
I hope the trade goes through in time for Fev to make it to 'schoolies' on the gold coast.

One thing though - if he cracks the shytes during a game it will be interesting to see Brown 'counsel' him.

Just as we have to fear a Roughe/Franklin team... if the ball doesn't get in there, it won't matter who they have.

Voss sucks for letting go of Bradshaw after so many years of service.

He's the Stuart McGill of the Lions.

Actually Brown could be a good 'big brother' for Fev... he wouldn't want to try any crap, and he wouldn't be alive for long if he did to Brown's missus what he was supposed to have done to Judd's.

Sorry, wasn't aware of that. In that case, why didn't we chase him?

He is 31, with injury issues...can turn a game on it's head, but risky?

Carved us up nicely at the dome this year. Would take him over Brown (N) any day.

Anyway, why would Carlton want him? Isn't he against their youth policy?

Or are they that desperate to offload Fev?

AFAIA Bradshaw has re-signed.

If you think a forwardline with Roo, Kosi and Fev is top heavy, try one with Brown, Bradshaw, Fev and no crumbers

Wasn't there 'whispers' going around at the beginning of the week that Brown would walk if Bradshaw was traded....?? Trying to keep up with the BS going around in trade week is almost a full time job.... :P

He certainly can and so can J Brown.

I reckon Carlton will be desperate to get this deal done, because if he doesn't go to Brisbane, they can change their saying from "they know we're coming" to "they know we're at least 3 years away from being a genuine premiership chance, if Fev leaves and we don't get someone like Bradshaw to replace him."

If they don't get someone like Bradshaw to replace him they'll have a "second rate" forward line, like the Doggies have had for years.

I still think their backline lacks

Mmm, lets trade for another mid in McLean when it is our strongest suit.... I love the way Carlton think..

Recruit another forward to help Fev + an exciting backman.

9th next year for the poor old feral blues

How in Gods name could we fit in him?

I reckon if Roo farts our salary cap will explode.

Apparently we said no to Fev from day 1 .

Cant see it.

But Browne/Fevola fwd line IMHO is super dangerous....

Unsure....
One of our players said we're in the mix.....he tends to be a bit 'erratic' post season though,so we'll take it with a grain of salt

Interesting......remember, the deal can't go through if Rischitelli and Bradshaw don't agree. Think the next 2 days are going to heat up a little.

Dunno, I'm still not sold on it...

Someone mentioned on SEN today that Fev is used to all the forward delivery and cracks the la-la's if they don't come his way....let's see if he can share shall we?

Who knows, he still might end up in Sydney?

does anyone else think that the lions will be the real deal next year if the fev/bradshaw trade happens?? brisbane are obvious winners in that trade bradshaw has 1 maybe two years left and fev could have up to 4.

I think so.

Leunberger to come back....mids like Black/Power and Rich..........its their backline thats a tad suspect but scoring power will be immense.

For mine, "Steven Segal, Steven Segal, pressure point" is the quote of the year.
