Saw one of the umpires (Jordan Bannister I think) run about 30m to shake Schneider's hand after the toss of the coin before the game last week. Thought it was a great gesture.saynta wrote:Toy Saint wrote:Will he get a farewell game next week?
I'll always remember Schneider as somebody who must have done something unspeakable to the umpire community. As a group they collectively loathed him, and spend several years seeking revenge.
He clapped one of the maggots once, in a derisive manner. True story.

Nothing compared to BT on MMM before the Richmond and North game.
They were commenting on the same thing with BT. One of his comments went something like this.
"Why would they give a guard of honor to a washed up old hack"
For a start BT he represented both clubs in a combination of 5 grand finals, do you know many other players that have done that?

Schneider played more games at 2 different clubs than BT managed at either of his clubs.
Really poor form and unnesecary.

Schneids is marketing himself around several third and fourth level clubs for big bucks.
Sounds like the Saints have not offered him a coaching gig next year. Big loss.
Mind you, for the amount of money he is asking, he ain't going to get many takers.
