Seb Ross Hamstring (1 week) Torn hamstring suffered in NAB Challenge win over Essendon.

Arryn Siposs Shoulder (5 weeks) Underwent shoulder surgery in December after re-injuring his shoulder. Is out of a sling, recovering well, and expected to return to full training in May.
Daniel Markworth Shoulder (3 weeks) Dislocated shoulder at training. Has undergone surgery and is building strength in the gym.

Late witdhrawal in round seven and will be tested ahead of round eight.

Precautionary approach taken give extended layoff and will miss this weekend.

Interesting Joey with hammy tightness that happened during the warmup is only a test. Seems nowadays it's an automatic minimum 2 week injury.

Jack Lonie Concussion (Test) Is expected to be fit to play on Sunday but will need to get through training on Thursday first.

Luke Delaney Hip (Test) Is expected to be fit to play on Sunday but will need to get through training on Thursday first.

Jarryn Geary Corked thigh (Test) Has missed two games and will need to pass a test on Thursday.

Jimmy Webster Concussion (Test) Was concussed on Saturday and will need to pass fitness tests this week to play against Brisbane.

Although each listed as ‘test,’ the club is confident Jarryn Geary, Luke Delaney, Jimmy Webster, Jack Lonie and Riewoldt will all get through training this week and be available for selection this weekend.

ST KILDA’s injury list contains just one player this week.

Sam Fisher (hamstring) will return after the bye week, while Daniel McKenzie and Paddy McCartin (both concussed last weekend) will be available for selection.

McKenzie was knocked out late in St Kilda’s win over Brisbane at The Gabba and although he passed initial concussion tests, was rested as a precaution.

McCartin’s concussion was treated in a similarly cautious way and as a result the key forward did not play for the Saints or Sandringham on the weekend.

Luke Dunstan, after being rested on Sunday, will also be available to take on the Demons in round 11 at Etihad Stadium.

Meanwhile, Daniel Markworth and Arryn Siposs have recovered from their respective shoulder operations and are available for selection following lengthy layoffs

We don't want Billings' shin soreness to develop into compartment syndrome. Rest him and ease him back in.

Shin soreness is common with young racehorses...

The club is doing a great job managing injuries this year.....the common thread here is 'rested as precaution'....they are particurarily managing the young guys well...

Blake through surgery-
Tom was mid today.= was pushing so hard to get a spot back in the AFL side.- now 10-12 weeks

BLAKE Acres and Tom Curren were both injured during Sunday’s VFL win over Footscray and face extended spells on the sideline.

Acres, who has played five senior games this year, collected 13 first-quarter disposals on the weekend before breaking his hand.

The athletic utility is expected to miss 2-3 weeks of football and had surgery last night to repair the damage.

Curren’s prognosis is more serious, the midfielder succumbing to a broken ankle which will rule him out for up to three months.

“He’s having surgery today,” Head Physiotherapist Andrew Wallis said.

“We expect him to miss 10-12 weeks.”

Will be treated cautiously after scans revealed a stress response in his shin.

Blake Acres
Hand (1-2 weeks)

Is no longer in a cast and his return is dependant on his ball handling.

Tom Curren
Ankle (10-12 weeks)

Broke his fibula playing VFL. Had surgery last week. Placed on the long-term injury list.
