tom lee 17 goals in 10 games averages nearly 4 marks, 5 contested possies
so either he had a shite preseason or coaches have given him a task he hasnt completed yet earning his spot back
because i cant see why you wouldnt be playing him
after all the younger guys are supposedly the future

His had a limited pre season, Richo has stated this, you would think after 4 & 3 goal performances he comes straight in for Maister.matrix wrote:tom lee 17 goals in 10 games averages nearly 4 marks, 5 contested possies

It's easier to pick 5 years later isn't it?BigMart wrote:Tom Lynch is currently injured... He was injured in 2012 also.... He also went Adelaide with just 6 games experience (in 3 years at stk), was never going to be an overnight success there?
Tom Lynch is only 23yo ATM
Last year he played 17 games, 15ppg, 33 goals, 31 tackles...
Not bad numbers for a hit up fwd
He's a clever player
Newnes (I think we got for Tom, or Jimmy) will be better... But again we didn't know what we were going to get with pick?
Possibly the big issue was his selection in the first place....
Tom was a massive bolter in the draft, he was not expected to go anywhere near as high, but the whisper was StKilda in their search for a medium fwd liked him.
Overlooked Jack Trengove who was a highly rated key defender in that draft who headed to Port and has won a B&F and is now vice captain?

I guess we should never trade for draft picks then? Because you don't usually know who you're going to get for a particular pick.BigMart wrote:Newnes (I think we got for Tom, or Jimmy) will be better... But again we didn't know what we were going to get with pick?

Tom Lee said at the JO training he thought he'd need 3 or 4 weeks at VFL level to build up to playing seniors and said that match fitness was missing after his shoulder surgery in the off season. He is really vocal at training and seems like a very driven and competitive guy. He seems like the guy who keeps everyone laughing too. He has the Milne role covered keeping the mood light.

For the last few weeks I've tipped Maister to kick three, more in hope than anything else.
I still think he may kick three this week, but more likely for Sandy.
I think the only reason he won't be replaced by Lee is if Lee's match fitness is deemed still not good enough.
