At 10:30 on Saturday morning, in the back of an ambulance, it crossed my mind (which was in a wee bit of turmoil at the time ) that it will be another family member who will witness our next flag victory! Did I feel as though I'd missed out? HELL NO! I wouldn't change a darn minute of it! I've learned that at the end of the day, footy is VERY low down on the priorities of my life, and it is simply a wonderful game to be enjoyed (with all it's highs and lows!) THAT is what I will take with me into this coming season Bratty, I have been given another opportunity to spend time with dear pals at "the dome we call home" and to simply say that I do it "For love of friendship, and for love of the game" To all my pals, don't stress about footy, life is too good, and has SO many positive gifts for us to enjoy, rather than to spoil it with negative thoughts! HAPPY CRIMBO FOLKS!

There's no way he's going anywhere soon. He has been in for the long haul and will witness our next premiership first hand somewhere between 2016-19. It is going to happen this decade!

The GREAT news is that there was NO heart damage, and it in fact was not a heart attack (as far as they can tell from the tests and scans) but I was admitted because of a bad family history of heart attacks. I'm now on medication for Blood pressure, and cholesterol control. I can tell you folks that when I got those pains initially, I was sure that I'd seen my last game!
It is very humbling to see your kind words of encouragement, and I have definitely changed my whole outlook on life. GO SAINTS! (Just hope not to be "with them" TOO soon )

Great to hear Jigster and please get your blood pressure checked regularly. I'm sure they gave you a lecture about cholesterol and diet lol!

That's the spirit, Jiggster! Good to hear the ticker is in reasonable shape. Could be a blessing in disguise - the fright you needed in order to make sure you look a after yourself a little better. A good diet, regular exercise and good sleeping habits and you'll be there for our next premiership, no problem.

I know it's no consolation for the loss of your dear Nanna, but these few words may bring some comfort: "death ends a life, but it cannot end a relationship, as this will endure in the hearts and memories of those who survive" May the happy memories of a loving Nanna remain in your heart and may these keep the relationship strong.
