I think a few of us know exactly what is going on here. It has been made pretty obvious. Look at maverick last night. i am not twisting words to start an argument. It is 2 separate statements. Clearly IMO. My English is poor but if it was one statement even I would say he hadnt had a jab not didnt have a jab.

OK we shall just agree to disagree. I read it one way. You read it another. The poster would actually know his own intent. I have no idea of his actual intent. However I do know how I read it.

As for Maverick ... I have no idea what you mean. He breached forum rules on multiple occasions. Received a PM to tell him that he had breached rules and asked him not to do it again. No warning issued. Technically he actually qualified for a ban. I think reminders via PM re the rules is a VERY fair outcome for Maverick.

What gets my goat, the number of posters going on the attack that the missed kicks were due to the injury - really not sure if they bother to watch the game.
Nick played the game out, and looked more match fatigued than injured as they game went on.

Something different

Old mate and Maverick trying to create an argument with me, hilarious.

Riewoldt has himself said (on radio) he doesn't like getting 'jabs' as it effects the maintenance of his knee... He wouldn't know if he's doing further damage if its 'jabbed'
Highly unlikely he was jabbed, but yes I was referring to the invalid excuse

Missed extremely gettable shots last night.

Dissappointing.

If he and Lee could kick straight we might have had a better chance.

And that was the straight forward point....JB

Don't think I called the champ hopeless.... He is a superstar, with a weakness... Which unfortunately is a bit more mental than physical

A bad night for Roo in front of goal. He'll bounce back next week.

Didn't see you call him hopeless at all.

My main critisism of Riewoldt over the years has been his attempts on goal. There have been reasons and most are fair enough.

Riewoldt is an absolute champ, but he has a weakness in kicking for goal. Directly in front on two occasions and missed both badly.

I was dissapointed in those attempts and Lee missing relatively easy shots, but not dissapointed in either player.

Never dissapointed in Riewoldt and his efforts for the team I support. He runs his guts out week in week out, year in year out.

Handy opponent he was on, to be fair...

Not that the shots he missed were because Jamo pushed him wide or out of range.

Played much better WITHOUT Nick against Freo.
He demands the ball, which makes it easier for defenders to nullify him.
If two guys are on him, isn't there one of our fwds loose and unmanned?
Give it to THAT free fwd, whoever it is.
Nick keeps missing, so only give it to him when he's outside the 50. So he can't have a shot.
Otherwise give it to another option FFS.

There is something in this...

Most teams with great forwards have this issue though.

Except Hawks who have the brains and the ability to find the best option.

The Pies have Cloke who takes the big mark and sprays it.
Friday night, he got behinds, out on full.
It was a joke watching him practice his kick, knowing it would helicopter anyway.
This must kill the heart of the hard workers who got the ball there.
Nick is a champion, and I admire his wife, but his missus (misses!) kill us too often.
How often do we yell at CJ to handball?
If he can't deliver, then mark and pass. No shame. THAT would be leadership.
Not screaming  when he doesn't receive a pass.
Have Joey pop into the corridor, or Lee, anyone. 30m pass to them.
"Scoreboard pressure!"
"Have to take our chances!"
Empty phrases from a politician unless you follow through.

Think he makes a fair point TBH. Don't know why people just can't accept he has a problem. It's there for all to see. Is that bagging him?

Let's face it. Roo is a cripple in front of goal. He's been missing getable shots for years. A major flaw in an otherwise great package. He's cost us many games throughout the years through this fault.

As I said a few weeks back .... I love Nick ... but at end of day - I agree - his shots on goal should be better. Not happy with his ratio.
