Just shows how differently the 2 coaches viewed the game.
Rockliff the only player they agreed on!

Saint Totals

40 Steven (9)
39 Montagna (8)
23 Riewoldt (5)
21 Armitage (4)
14 McEvoy (4)
8 Hayes (2), Milne (1)
7 Geary (3), Ray (1)
4 Dal Santo (3), Roberton (2)
3 Milera (2), Stanley (1)
2 Fisher (1)
1 Jones (1), Newnes (1)

Steven getting votes in 9 games is very solid. For comparison, Lenny got votes in 9 games last year to be clearly ahead of any other Saints player. That said, he ended up with a total of 52 so Jack has a way to go to catch him.

Saint Final Scores

58 Montagna (10)
48 Steven (10)
32 Riewoldt (6)
21 Armitage (4)
14 Dal Santo (5), McEvoy (4)
10 Milne (2)
9 Geary (4)
8 Hayes (2)
7 Ray (1)
4 Blake (1), Roberton (2)
3 Jones (2), Milera (2), Stanley (1)
2 Dempster (1), Fisher (1), Gilbert (1)
1 Newnes (1)

Puts Joey in the box seat for the B&F, I reckon.

19 players got votes, but Newnes is the only kid on that list. Next year there need to be more of the inexperienced guys appearing or else it's going to be a long time in the wilderness.

The positive is that our next core is Steven, Armo, Big Mac and Gears, and they're four of the top eight there. Add Roberton and that's a start, at least.
