Dropping games in anything resembling an intentional way is pathetic. It endorses a culture of losing. Done FA for Melbourne and I reckon we got a good glimpse of what it's doing at GC last weekend.
I admire sides like Sydney and Brisbane that go hammer and tong regardless of cattle.
Any finals campaign is gold. Any opportunity to challenge yourself against the best is gold.
Wholesale injection of youth doesn't let you do this.
Rotate them in cyclically. Much healthier.

I would be more inclined to promote Hayes as the current heart and soul of St Kilda.
The reason is that he performs in the engine room - and, as last Sunday showed us, if you do not win in the engine room you do not win the game.
Milne is not a patch on Hayes.
Last Sunday, Milne kicked his 2 goals but both of these were gifted with Milne the beneficiary because he awaited the outcome of the contest, contests we won and the ball was fed to the loitering outside player.
If we had lost those contests, Milne was a passive by-stander, loitering 20 yards or more away and only of use if we won the contest and then gave the ball to him. There was no intent to impact on the contest to improve the odds of us winning the pill courtesy of having superior numbers at the contest. Milne was exclusively sitting outside waiting to become the "hero" courtesy of someone else's efforts. Including by making hard what should be easy.
On other occasions Milne was fed the ball, again loitering off the contest,
On one of these he held onto the pill, eventually scragging a kick to Dal Santo who goaled under pressure protecting his left foot. It should never have been that tight for Dal Santo.
On another, he had the ball in space again, held onto it and attracted a crowd, finally getting a wobbly 20 metre left foot kick away which hit the post.
Compare this to Stanley and Milera, both of whom involved themselves in the contest, then ran forward taking control of the pill, putting on the after burners and bouncing to the goal line to drill the major.
Not only can Milne not replicate what Stanley and Milera did (and that is the modern game), he can not put the defensive pressure on like Stanley and Milera did because they have genuine pace (read closing speed).
Milne plays his own little game including falling over in an attempt to trap the ball and have his opponent over-run him and the ball.
His time is past.
We are no longer a good enough team to accomodate Milne and his style of play.
We need 22 players who are hard at the contest and who then have the attributes to spread from that contest - or chase if we lose it.
From last Sunday, Rodan (the same physical attributes of Milne) is far, far superior to Milne.
And that is why Port Adelaide won.
Why could not the experienced 32 year old Milne, with over 200 games to his credit not impact as did Rodan?
That is the question which needs to be asked.

One day you will say in in 6 words what you have again written in a thousand words. "I reckon Milne is a hack" We get it. Werent you taught at school that a lot of words can mean nothing if they mean nothing. And blaming Milne for the loss is a disgrace. AA last year. That was one game ago. All it proves to people with footy knowledge is you have none. Now please stop these crap posts and continue with your other crap posts but try and say it quicker. People have work to do and the RCH appeal is on Friday. I still dont want to be reading your post then. I still cant beleive they delisted Cahill and kept Milne. And Johnson should have been our FB even though he to is delisted and plays forward. Pearls of wisdom. Anyway you dont like being criticised because you quit this forum once because a few disagreed with you. If some of us did the same we would quit everyday.
