Heyne is contracted until the end of 2012. He might be downgraded to the rookie list like Howard, L. Fisher and Eddy.

rose coloured glasses

a turnover machine that beats his opponent every 3rd week

maybe we should see if we can trade the world's greatest tagger for Judd.

Lets offer him to 16 other teams and c who would take him

elite teams have good taggers... no one like Jones
Yeah...you stick with that...we'll keep Jones.
yep

was great in the GFs... all 3 of them

what a star
...and Roo, out he goes too. KP forwards going cheap! Get 'em while they're hot!!!
Great comparison...

Roo injured for the 1st grandfinal vs Geelong

Played ok in the drawn GF vs Coll

Whilst beaten in the replay (like the rest of the team), at least presented again and again and battled all day

hmm come to think of it, he was better than Jones in all 3 of them

Nope, Roo's out, no good...and Jones had a broken foot.

Jone's is an elite tagger, no matter how you try and skew it.

I suppose we're offloading Peake too?

I will go back to what I posted on the first page of this thread.

Those I would expect not to be at St Kilda next year are our over 30 year olds and specifically Baker and Blake (Milne at 32 in 2012 may not have another season in him and he will be looked at in the light of what the likes of Ledger, Cripps etc can bring because they will be introduced as forward pocket players initially and a 32 year old should not be holding them back), Geary, Gamble and McQualter.

Heyne may be downgraded.

Polo is a question - but may get another season.

This is a compromised draft so I would not expect more than 6 de-listings - and up-grades for Archer and Walsh are debatable whilst Ferguson will be interesting.

Eddy will go from the Rookie List.

I would definately not be considering losing Stanley or Cahill - both of whom, with some further strength, are potential KPP players - of whom we have few.

Peake is actually a reason this thread is 9 weeks to early. 6 weeks ago he was gone by most posters, now he is certain to stay, well at the moment. Who is to say Mini, Blake and baker cant turn it around or even Heyne somehow get back in the Saints side and have a few good ones. Lets face it if they are still going to play young guys there are now less of them so others will get a chance.

You should stop looking at numbers and look how they are playing. Milne is our most prolific goal scorer and plays the position (pocket) as good as any. Unless he has other interests to pursue, which I doubt, he'll be back.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Simple..... best players in positions..... irrespective of age.

Plenty of opportunity for young determined guys to force their way in without making artificial spaces for them.

Now honestly, does anyone think that Cahill could hold down a key position in any AFL team? Like a few others, he's had his opportunity, time to move him on.
