Every Saints supporter want them to succeed and they are both very likeable clubmen however, the biggest reason for their inability to get their bodies right and their continual injuries is their attitude to preparation and training hard. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> .
and you've been to training every day to see this?
Saintbrat, don't need to be at training 'every day' to come to this conclusion. :)
so how do you know?
or is it just your 'assumption'.........
I thought I made myself clear.......I have been exposed to enough training sessions (without being there 'every day' as you put it) to form my opinion and conclusion.
I didn't notice that you said -' having been to training reguarlarly or on occasion...'
you just mentioned that you "don't need to be at training 'every day' to come to this conclusion." not that you had actually attended training

If you have been regularly then I guess youu may see more than those of us unable to go very often. and thus be able to draw the conclusion.

hence those of us who don't get very often wait impatiently for any news from training sessions.
No problems Saintbrat, if my reply confused you in any way, I apologize. The several training sessions I have been fortunate to attend have been a real eye-opener for me and you get a good idea of which players are 'more driven' to succeed (as in the case of anyone applying themselves in their chosen profession). There are clearly less naturally talented players at St.Kilda than the Clarkes but I unreservedly stand by what I have said about them in relation to their work ethic.

It can still be like being at a game and the person sitting beside you gets a totally differant view.....

What we need is a team of surgeons to take their best bits are create one super Clarke out of two injury prone ones.

I'd start with X's brain.
R's arms and upper body.
X's hands.
X's thighs.
R's calves,
X's feet,
and Winmar's number.

Could call him RX7.

Why have niether completed a full pre-season????
Why can they not get their bodies right????
Is it work ethic????[/quote]

Me thinks has got to do with how serious players are about exercises.
They come from under age competitions that do not put their bodies through the same rigors as AFL.

AFL players need to take their warming up, warming down and stretching exercises seriously.
When you see the players in the rooms after games many seem to be going through the motions only.
Me thinks the Clarke brothers came from a lazy culture and in their early AFL days did not take these exercises as seriosly as they should.
Now their bodies have suffered so many injuries it is impssoible to undo the damage.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Beautiful work :-)

While we are at it, do you reckon we could clone BJ's right leg and replace Grammy's with it? Would make a hell of a player.
