Banner Sayings round 16 vs Hawks

Hi Top4
I understand you thought it was a joke. No worries.
But to me, personally, it is a big deal.
I actually wrote a thing about it, which you can find here:

That was the first banner I ever got to write.
A lot of people spend a lot of time actually making the banner to take out onto the ground. They volunteer for it, and so it becomes a big deal to them.
I never get to see the Saints play in person... well, that's not exactly true; I will be coming to the game against Essendon at the end of the season (I can't wait!) - but that will be my first game for over 6 years, since I've been living in the States. So I write the banner entries to feel a little more connected to the team. As an international member, it's difficult to feel like you really contribute anything.
Anyway - honestly - I still get emotional just thinking about the first banner I wrote. A very, very big day in my life, actually. (I'm still tearing up, just thinking about it). A very proud moment indeed.
I had the banner as my computer background for ages!
Anyway mate, I understand you thought it was a joke, and I do sincerely wish you luck with your entries next week.
I spend a lot of time with a rhyming dictionary because I am not a natural poet. If you're stuck for a rhyme, it helps.
Good luck with your next entries!

watch on Sat night, that a few of the player do, when they are running out from side to side they quickly read it.TimeToShineFellas wrote:Neither do the players, dools.....saintdooley wrote:obviously you dont read the banners do you!
and the sayings are not for the players, bugger them, even Gilbo has come out and said he doesnt read them unless its a milestone because the guys are too focused....what i understand, but its more for the supporters, thats why i put this sayings thread up so you can get a say whats on the banner, or you can do a stupid saying if you feel like being an idiot...either way it doesnt bother me.
"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

Interesting to see what players do note-
Grammy interviewed immediately after the game last week knew what the crowd number was
I wouldn't have thought he was that bored during the game running of Juddy.
