Yeah point exactly.

He's actually playing worse, then the rest of the team, which is playing worse then average.

He's been the worst midfielder by a mile.

And the rest of the team don't have Kane Cornes breathing down their necks.

Who's sole intention is to stop, rather than getting the ball. If he does, its a bonus.

I'd like to see other players play with defenders like that.

Gardiner - Cheap half forward who did his job
Dempster - Played a good shut down game on Rodan
Milne - First bad game for the year
Goddard - Not great, but not terrible
Goose - Nowhere near AFL level
Gram - Good game
Birss - Solid game from a depth midfielder
Ball - Little impact, but does everything he can
Fisher - Average tagger
Clarke - Doesn't get a lot of it, but at least he hurts the opposition and applies pressure
Kosi - 11 touches, 4 marks, 11 hitouts and a goal from a forward/ruck who got no delivery and isn't suited to the conditions ain't a bad effort

Dal Santo - Managed to get himself some garbage time stats to boost his numbers up from 6 to 13, but once again he casually wanders around the oval while his opponent is BOG with 33 possessions. Dal Santo isn't being used as a scape goat, people are just pointing out the obvious by stating that he is playing terrible football and has no workrate.

When you are getting tagged you can give a bit of leway but for his direct opponent to get the ball 30 times! Yes thats right 30 times it shows an unwillingness to try and shut his opponent down. It can be two things:
a) The fact that he is more worried about getting the ball himself rather than what the team needs
or
b) He is not as good as people think he is! i.e Frontrunner

Tell me Dud if he is sooooo good how in the world does he have so many poor games to his name this year!

On X, couldn't agree with you more. Absolutely soft cost us at least two goals when we looked like getting a run on! Maybe he needs to go spend time with Raph in the VFL

Not much obviously - did he manage a goal in the VFL?????

Agreed & double agreed on X Clarke. I've never rated him. I don't like 1 good game out of 4. If you're going to give me that sort of effort, I'd rather it be in the VFL. Players need to cross that line & be switched on. Those half hearted tackling attempts (and it's not just him of course) cost the side in some many different ways.

Cornes is tagging him, Dal isn't tagging Cornes, if we had a decent gameplan and took risks then Dal would get used dangerously on the rebound and Cornes would have to become more accountable

AS A WHOLE TEAM we have had ONE good game all year, and Dal has had more than that, so i'd say he's doing better than many

Dal is no where near our biggest problem, but is an easy scapegoat...

I don't think I've ever criticised Dal Santo before on Saintsational - I'm just agreeing with a lot of others that his effort (amongst a shopping list length of other St.Kilda players) was very poor.

so if Kane Cornes was breathing down Dal Santo's neck WHY wasn't Dal breathing down Kane Cornes's neck

His work rate is deplorable - he is a great player when he has the ball but he is an awful player when he doesn't have the ball

Cmon Dud, Dal's job isnt to just be the rebound guy when his opponent has 30 possies and by the way he killed us, Dal's responsibility should be to try negate his influence not worry about his own game, and his brownlow chances!

so ur saying Dal should tag Cornes....?

CORNES is tagging DAL because port know how dangerous he can be

but only when USED PROPERLY

i'm not saying he had a good game (along with most of the team) but i'm saying all this "drop dal" "worst on ground" crap is just that, CRAP!

Apologies to Dal Santo. I thought he'd turned the corner the other week but clearly I was wrong.
