Really?????? Brown, Roberton, Savage, Hickey, Steele, Bruce, Stevens, Membrey, Weller.
Other than Brown the rest were still young players yet to establish themselves in teams.

Let's wait and see whether Melbourne make the finals or not first. If they finish ninth then you would have to say that they have stalled. If they finish top 4 then they are progressing nicely. If they finish 5-8th position and bow out in the first week of finals they would see that as a satisfactory outcome, and something to build on, like the Bulldogs did in 2015.

We on the other hand have flopped around for 5 or more years and instead given a badly under-performing coach an extension to his contract and then came out and said we're top 4 material.

Headless chicken club..
Melbourne have been absolute s*** since 2006!!!!! They have blown more first round draft picks than most other clubs. They are now benefiting from 12 years of mediocrity. It is a bit unfair to say that we have been rebuilding for the same amount time, they have at least 5 years head start on us
I'm looking more at the last 5 or 6 years where we have buggered up badly and here we are today badly under-achieving. We could go back over decades to discuss Melb vs Saints development, but let's keep current.

The Dees weren't all that s*** hot yesterday. Flogged by a team that most didn't rate at the start of the season.

There's actually a very real chance the Dees will now have to beat GWS on the G in R23 to get the 12 wins required to make the 8. They're no sure things and they showed why yesterday. And they have very few 1st team injuries at present.
