Yep, we don't need any good forwards because the one's we have are setting the world on fire.
If you thought the draft was the answer this year ....

It would be pick early 20's this year, not next.Spinner wrote:Linton Street Saint wrote:http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-05-01/i ... ix-edition
We are screwed. 2nd Pick isn't until early 4th round. Best be nailing that top 5 given our recent history.
What a non story in the papers. We traded it to get into second round last year - Clavarino pick 34. Good thinking to bring it forward. Pick 20 odd would look good but it's going to change anything for 3/4 years if at all.
Need this wealth of selections like McKenzie, Goddard, Lonie, White, McCartin, Long, Battel and trades like Freeman, Austin to step up and perform.
White and Long now in seniors which is good.
Pick 25 next year isn't going to be the difference in the end.
As it stands the trade is an under-perform. The club gambled that we would finish much higher than we are now likely too. Getting the player one year earlier will not be enough to outweigh the now large gap in where the picks were taken.
And moreso in my eyes for it used was to gain yet again another defender and on the surface for a player very similar to Austin.
