Pest off the field, maybe? Who cares

Not sure he's playing little practical jokes in meetings, whilst training, whist in the gym, whilst playing... that's the part I'm interested in, is he challenging team mates, is he setting the example, is he focused on the task at hand.

Whether he's annoying or not in the locker room is really incident

All of those leaders set example on field, that's why they are great leaders.
I think he's more of a "Rascal". That's the new term I believe. Bob Murphy was awarding a rascal of the week award on 360. I like it. Better than pest, or larrikin. "A mischievous or cheeky person, especially a child or man (typically used in an affectionate way)."
"a lovable rascal".
synonyms: scallywag, scamp, devil, imp, monkey, mischievous person, mischief-maker. :D :D

I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Hickey: "Bit of pest around the club, keeps it pretty jovial at times..."
Robbo :" Puts his arm around and give them a bit of support"

Yes Pest and highjinks does equal Larrikan. Who cares BM? I do. It speaks to the underlying makeup and style of our new leader and is important to what vibe and approach they will implement in the team. Don't just dismiss it so to try and prove you are right.

As I said I like the idea that he might not be as intense all over, all the time as Roo seemed to be (you don't know behind the scenes of course but that is the impression). Obviously he is incredibly driven and will enforce and set standards and intensity in training, prep, games etc. With Roo still there with his painfully exacting standards its actually a good balance.

I like the ideas of some down time and taking the pressure off with some humour and good times and jovial atmosphere - that's for me is a better way to maintain your energy levels through a long season to peak for finals. Its about ramping up and down, ramping up for when you need it, down to regroup your energies. I wonder if Lyon will ever understand that instead of burning out players and coaches and clubmen with superhuman intensity all the time.

Gears will probably have to pull back a bit on the pranks but that is natural when people step up to more responsible roles - who will take over the open pest position? Stay tuned.

Speaks well and comes across as mature beyond his years. A good choice I think

As posted by DRAGIT, 14 was Pluggers number. He wore it when he won the Brownlow Medal. He later given number 4, which at the time I thought was a stupid move, as he already had a Brownlow, 100 goal seasons and a Coleman medal wearing 14.

It was because it was Baldocks and later Barry Breen's number.
What didn't make sense was Plugger wanting it in Sydney where it had no significance.
