Current forecasts are for a 70% chance of 1-4mm of rain, so they may be punting on wet conditions.

Surely Longer is a better bet than Johnny?

And how is Webster not back in this side?
plus one.

some dud selections there.

C'mon Richo.
Jimmy tweaked his hammy at training Thursday. And they believe Holmesy will match Hampson in ruck work. It will be wet so no marking around the ground

Thanks for that. I thought Webster was a monty. Surprised that Longer didn't get the nod. But if that's the thinking, who am I to argue.

Hickey almost plays as a tall midfielder- certainly doesn't have a problem getting the ball around the ground. None of our other ruck options provide that - so effectively we are 1 midfielder down. Holmesy needs to consistently give our mids first use to compensate.

Interesting comments in this week's inside footy in relation to players performance last week for Sandy.

. Holmes - Minimal impact aside from a few shots at goal -kicked 1.2

. Longer - Worked hard in ruck and around the ground.

. Lonie - Buzzed around for 22 touches

. Sinclair - Pressed claim for a recall with a strong outing in midfield - 29 touches

. Shenton - Keeps kicking goals adding another bag of 4. Worth one more chance at AFL level?

.Templeton - Steady game in midfield with 23 possessions, three inside 50's.

. Stuffed if I know what Eli, Billy and Shents have to do to get a game.

There's always next year . It's hard to fit 30 odd into 22 .

Well, history is on our side - according to the AFL website Richmond haven't won seven in a row against us since 1945-49 so we have to be at least some sort of chance tomorrow...

Webster won't be back this season, and Chips is an outside chance to play next week against the Lions. No mention of whether or not Hickey will be back though.

If there is 4 mm of rain tomorrow that won't help their Riewoldt - and maybe that was the reasoning behind bringing Lonie back in. Tony74 - was that the rationale?
