Good question, but we still need a forward line for the future, without roo,and that could be only one more concussion away.

Nope. To get players like him to come across from another club, you have to part with a lot of money. We now have our two key forwards. Having Bruce and McCartin up forward will mean that we only we need to find one more tall to play forward of centre - and Hickey may well fit that bill while rotating through the ruck. It would be good if Roo can continue playing through 2016 as well, while McCartin develops and does a couple more pre-seasons. so that we can gradually get more games into him, without relying on him too much.
I would like to see the club recruit a CHB in the next draft - someone like Jakovich - to replace Fisher.

If anything it makes the decision even better. You need two class key forwards and we hopefully have them now. We can start looking at mids because we lack class there.

It takes huge pressure off McCartin and the club, seeing as how we got Bruce virtually for nix.

Now Paddy can develop at his own pace and not be subjected to the Jack Watts syndrome. By that I mean a kid being under massive pressure to be a gun because he was a high draft pick.

If he comes on we'll have two gun key forwards.
