It was very disappointing that we couldn't lift and make a contest for one quarter at least.

Whilst the match was well gone at half time, I thought that Pride and a tongue lashing by the coach at half time, might have had some impact in the third quarter. Perhaps by then, we were mentally defeated and it was all too hard

I was at Geelong the day we were beaten by in excess of 22 goals. It hurt, hurt bad, but guess what? The club didn't " end" and in fact got stronger over the next two seasons. Nobody, but nobody has to LIKE getting flogged, however the long term goal of the club should be what we're focused on. I'm ready for the Carlton game already! Go Saints! ( to hell with the rest)

Next week will be a big test for us Jiggs - from a "PR" perspective, as much as anything else. Let's hope that the boys can lift. Mind you, "injuries" are killing us, so let's see how far pure "enthusiasm" gets us.

The banner has already been made. It's just a white cloth with a few random letters stuck on, i think some were upside down. then in marker i wrote "looks like we both c b f working"

2/ why play if we had zero chance and were going to get flogged? Just white flag it, have an extended break and not risk players??

We had supposedly talented young players

What we didn't have was effort...

You don't need to be more than 25yo to have a crack, you don't need elite talent to have a crack and you sure as <edited by mods> don't lose by 145 if you're having a farken crack

If this sort of thing had never happened before, (to other clubs as well as ours) if it was unlikely ever to happen again, then I would understand some of the (IMHO) hysterical stuff that's being posted. As I say, Keep calm, keep focused on the future, and above all KEEP SUPPORTING YOUR CLUB!

Not sure that the cheer squad did turn up. Very few of our members did. I am guessing half of the doom and gloom merchants on here whingeing about effort etc didn't turn up either.

We all can support the club by questioning their lack of effort. It's called unacceptable and is the right of all supporters.
