A bit like the Geelong GF. Would Max have made a difference? Hard to believe we were that close with Riewold and Milne not firing.

maybe...maybe not ...rehn killed us in the ruck.....

spider stated that thomas was a "good guy".....i think you can take that as a given.....or any reasonable person would.....meglomaniac??...maybe...power hungry....?...well he was at least hungry for success and pissed off about the clubs reputation and lack of performance on the big stage...thought he could change all that with his mate buttarse.....sad turn of events in the end......

...lyons???...well you can take it as a given that the guy is a real turd......out for himself.....

Believe me we would have won the '97 GF if Spida were fit.

Would have won by plenty if Spider and Big Lazar were there. Think Lazar was the type of guy who would have caused a bit of mayhem in the GF. Don't think being rubbed out for the whole of 1998 would have worried him or the club too much. In fact I think he retired at the end of 97.

Don't mess with Lasar.

Didn't rate Lazar Vidivic....

Not much better than Trent Knobel, he played 90 games in ten seasons..... Plenty of reserves

Fair enough. I think he would have had a few Crows worried.

No one worries on GF day.... When you get there, you're so pumped... You don't even consider getting hurt... You would seemingly die to win the footy...

Watch the first 5 minutes of any GF.... Generally carnage, the the dust settles.

Shaun Rehn wouldn't have had a second thought...

Again, fair enough. But Shaun Rhen mighn't have known what state he was in if Lazar played. That's my point. Not saying that would have been great for football, just reckon Lazar was the type of guy who may have surprised a few with what he may have brought to the party.

Losing Lasar on the eve of the finals in 1997 was a massive blow. Could take a contested mark and his cut off work across half back was fantastic in 1997 .

Last of the knuckle men Ruckman. Remember him going the tonk against Freo ? Awesome .

Lazar was a very important player for us at that time. He was critical to our success and losing him before the finals was a major blow.
