Didn't you know each player received a halo when their number gets read by us out on draft night? Therefore, negative tripe written about them is simply lies.

I don't understand why, if it was lies written about those two players, why they aren't taking her or the paper to court considering their name is tarnished. One would also think with the crazy $s that are out there for endorsements and the likes that a players brand would be that important and worth fighting for. Not buying into the arguement of whether they are or arent, but surely if they are lies and are held accountable on at least a financial level it would make them think twice about it.

Caro isn't everyone's cup of tea, that's fine. She writes about the politics of football, not what's happening out on the ground. We have 10,000,000 journos who cover that adnauseum each week. Some of what she writes is her own opinion, or take on a situation. I don't love everything she writes, particularly when she's on her high horse. But I've learnt to just take it with a grain of salt and think, 'of course Caro will take that stance'

I have no doubt it would have been someone at both clubs for Sam and Swan. They may have thought the publicity would mean they pull their heads in. As someone said Im sure they would have sued if they were completely innocent as kosi did over poor reporting a few years ago.

I recall her on FC once agreeing she will run with story at 80% accuracy!! - that's a 20% error rate to possibly smear someones name if she gets it wrong and that's good??

I don't doubt many other journos are just as bad - but hearing her admit it confirmed any doubts on her morals I had.

She is an abrasive personality in the media but I see her around malvern and she seems really polite and nice- smiles at my kids and let me go first in the supermarket line once. I get the feeling she over compensates in a male dominated domain but she does get stuff the boys club won't discuss. She is like a necessary evil or a muck raking parasite depending on how much we won't to know about a bunch of guys who can handle balls well.

But not one article is ever on the way a game was played or a footballer up an coming or Anything at all to do with football.
