What instrument does he play?
Is he a pie piper?

Better player than the pick 17 that Essendon got from us for the no-good Lovett.

Its this attitude that makes Collingwood small time players during trade time.

Most clubs wont want to deal with them because of their arrogance.

Apparently a total spud according to most on here. I guess West Coast have no idea about football compared with the SS team.

Agreed, Wellingham is a lot better than some on this forum like to make out. Would happily have him at the Saints.

I do think the Pies are lucky to be getting pick 17 for him though.

What a club is willing to part with doesn't necessarily reflect that player's worth. Remember, we traded pick 6 for Brooks.

What does that make a KP like 24 yo Dawes worth then?
WCE have definitely overpaid but I reckon our chances of getting Brown now are dead in the water because you get the feeling that WCE will be wanting at least a 1st round draft pick for him to replace the one they just lost.

WCE are very happy for Brown to stay the only thing that will pique their interest is a first round draft pick and he is not worth that.
That makes senses, looks like Cripps alone won't get the Brown deal over the line. May have to get another club on board , and try to arrange a 3-way trade. WCE saying no trade - but they may wobble if a 1st Rnd DP was offered.....

It's a premiership window trade. When you're up you overpay for reasonable players who can fill gaps, as the Hawks did with Lake. Pick 17 makes no difference to the Eagles this premiership cycle. Collingwood just got lucky that Wellingham wanted to go to Perth not Brisbane.

Fair enough. Some club might have to pay overs for Caddy in players/DP. Looks like Ess will pay over market in terms of salary for Goddard. So that could mean the Saints maybe overpaid for Lee to fill a gap.

Guess it's ok to do if clubs think they have a chance at a flag.....
