Mini was phenomenal at Sandy last year. At worst, GC get a solid 2nd tier player with great character to help develop their kids and smash a third rate league apart. Maybe he goes on to show he can play AFL. Either way, they don't have a lot to lose.
I also don't see why you couldn't have somebody in a similar role here. If we're going to have VFL affiliation, then it might be wise not to rely on them to surround our kids with quality people.
