Actually, offering Harv's the Sandy job could be a good compromise to keep him at the club after the disappointment of not getting very far for the actual job.
He gets a chance to show what he's got, get's the important job of developing youth and should he do an outstanding job, could lead to a future senior coaching position.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

Doesn't Sandy actually get to pick their own coach?

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

No, after Lovett was sacked, he was told that the next coach would depend on who St Kilda wanted.

.

Sorry there is no place for such appointments.

He either gets the gig because he is best available for the job, or not.

If he is deemed to have what it takes...then great. If not, then club legend or no......time to go.

Watters has to be given the freedom to have the assistants he needs and waints.

If Harvey actually was bitter at missing out (and I don't think he is the type of guy that would be) then he would be the last person you would want to have still at the club in a key role.

Reported on the Fremantle board on BigFooty that Watters has already made contact with Tony Micale to come across to the Saints as an assistant ...

Tony Micale coached East Fremantle to a flag in 1998, and then coached East Perth to 3 flags between 2000-02. He was then the senior assistant at West Coast from when Worsfold got the job in 2003 until the end of 2008.

Has coached East Perth since 2009 and got them back up the ladder again. His son Josh sadly passed away earlier in the year. But a very experienced football person.

Hate the guy, but would rather have him on our side than someone else's.
Well if Wanker Wayne gets the job............. I guess we can safely assume Sam Fisher won't be going to the forward line too much.

This article appeared in the The Sunday Times in WA today.

Wayne's world under wraps.

"Former AFL great Wayne Carey is squiring stylish, sporty blonde Stephanie Edwards, but they are keeping their friendship quiet.

Edwards, the former girlfriend of St Kilda best-and-fairest winner Sam Fisher, and Carey are believed to have known each other for some months. They were seen dining in Melbourne in June. In July, they went to Bali for a holiday. They returned this week from another Bali trip, on which they were guests at a wedding.
Carey had a tumultuous time with Kate Neilson and made bad headlines.

He is back in the media presenting an internet TV show called 'Playing the Game', alongside Mick McGuane".

Wayne likes to get off with other bloke's sheilas does he not?

It's a matter now of backing the Coach's instinct. He will have his own thoughts on who he can best work with and who will make a strong contribution.

It will be interesting to see whether Harves stays or goes. He needs more experience and can can get it under Watters, but it's a question of "the vibes" and whether the personalities can work together. Let's hope so.

First things first.

He needs to be decontaminated.

Washing alternately in concentrated nitric acid and sodium hydroxide for 4 weeks might be sufficient.

He only passed through the joint briefly.

A light spray should do the trick
