Sorry I also thought we had stars like Harvey, Hamill and G and then even the next grade down we had Jones, Black, Peckett, Penny, Powell, Thompson, Voss and Max. Souns a whole lot better than last year even with how young some were in 2004/5.

Harvey, Hamill and G and then even the next grade down we had Jones, Black, Peckett, Penny, Powell, Thompson, Voss and Max. How many of these guys were top 5 or top 10 draft picks?

It's generally acknowledged that most players peak around 23 -30 years of age. I think you'll find the '09/'10 class is jam packed with our top ten draft picks - the blokes that made a commitment to each other, and sacraficed the extra $$$ on offer from rival clubs, for the chance to paly in a premiership team and bleed for this footy club.
So that means RL couldnt coach or you just felt like telling us that.

From the start Ross can coach, is he over rated we will see. He has never had to get his hands dirty and timed his runs very well. He has taken over from others good work and increased his value by feeding off his good fortune.

He had a grounding in Sydney where there is little to no scrutiny of coaching or admin decisions. He got all flustered when there was pressure from internal sources demanding outcomes that didn't appeal to his sense of freedom. We as a club allowed him to run on a long rope almost unhindered so that by the time they pulled his leash in he couldn't cope. Paul Roos rushed to his defence but is from the same pie in the sky school as Ross. He will be remembered for his contributions to our club but there will always be question marks over him until he is the architect and builder not the real estate agent.
