Having just finished watching the replay, similar free kicks were paid earlier in the match, so it was at least there was consistency in the decision making-for once.
Yep, I noticed that too. One in the first and another in the second, both paid to the saints.

I'm sick of hearing this "It wasn't in the spirit of the game" crap. There were no complaints about the earlier frees. :x

Gary was the only one on Triple M today who was happy with the decision. Granted, most thought it was a free, they didn't think it should have been paid because of the timing (which is so ridiculous considering there shouldn't be different rules just because you are in the final 2 minutes of the game).
