Please reassess.
They have to make amends for that crap Rd 3 effort. They need a real scalp ahead of the finals. They have few (if any?) injuries f any note. They have an extra day's rest. They are well due.
Everything is in their favour.
And that represents as good an opportunity as any for our boys to knock the wind out of their sails and send them limping into August full of self doubt.
Flipside is IF they beat us in a fortnight, they won't beat us twice in one year.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

I can understand your amazemant at my statement regarding a decent filth supporter, but it is true, there is 1. I also have a brother inlaw who is a filth supporter and he is a real pain in the ass.Thinline wrote:Contradictory.Stillwaiting wrote:There supporters are setting themselves to, I work with a few ( reasonsably decent ones) and they are setting themselves for this one

But your assesment of the game is spot on, I think it would be best to knock the stuffing out of them again if we can. They know if they cant beat us now they will hate to face us in the finals. RL will enjoy the prospect of belting them 3 times in a year, he can handle the phycology of it but mick madhouse can not
We need to focus on this weeks game first though

But I am sure missus is a decent person, this brother in law had a aggressive go at my then 10 year old son in the early 2000 after we had a rare win over them. Could deal it but could not take it back froma kid. This is the same person who after the game earlier this year his first words to me was that Milne is a rapist. I'll be glad for Roo to return this week.
The warmer weather in Brisbane will be better for the hamstrings first work out, and it would be good for him to get a game under his belt before Collingwood.
Yeah I hear their supporters all crapping on about how good they are, but wait, let's see, they belted West Coast here who are a rabble, beat Sydney because Sydney don't know how to play them and we're missing several key players.
The week before they we're lucky to scrape a draw out of Melbourne who should have won that match.
If we play at our best, the result will be the same as our last 4 meetings including two finals.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.
