going from the interview on the afl website, it seems as thou he knew that he was going to be overtaken this year with the younger guys coming through...really avoided the questions for him leaving and said that he needed a change...

will be interesting what the players think of his decisions and how they approach him when we line up...have a feeling that roo lenny bj and baker will be one of the first to approach him with a few bumps and words before the bounce....

They will for sure but more importantly they will be the first to approach him after the game to wish him good luck because they know it is a business and Bally may have struggled for a game with us next season.

it'll be more like bally goes out there with the directive to crack heads. he moves into the square and it dawns on him that he has donuts.

As i said on another post. Sheedy once said when a certain player choose Carlton over Essendon before every game against this player
"make sure when he leaves the ground he regrets not playing for us".

Same thing, they know his weaknesses and histroy of concussion, every tackle extra hard, every bump precise, and remind him everytime his man runs off him and kicks a goalthat it was his responsibility.

If you are not with us you are against us.

Dear me, you guys are harsh.

WTF did you want him to say? That he hates RL and the Saints and he left for more money?

As for hurting him. Yes do it fairly. Hit him hard and often. Run him down from behind and tell him about it.

Make sure he feels it.

Just a word of warning. Ball will lap it up. He is tough and courageous and never takes a backward step. It is his trademark.

The players know this and will not concentrate on him at the expense of losing the game against Collingwood.

Goodbye LB, good luck. Still cant help think that you will be Woewodin mark II for the filth.

Lance or James??

Great deal for the Pies..$500,000 per season for a fringe player ..

Can get ball..but cannot use ball.

If AFL was keepings off he would be elite...but it is not...so he is not.

I'm obviously in the minority but I personally wish him all the best, just not against us.
He was pretty much my fave player with us and while I'll find it hard to watch him run around for that poor excuse for a footy team, I'll also find it hard to not hope he goes well and get back to his best form.

I wish he picked another club to go to, no doubt about that, but I also understand why he felt he needed to leave the Saints to further his career. His footy was in decline with us and if he waited another year, and his footy dropped further he would have struggled to come back. In selfish terms his timing is spot on.

So yeah, go well Bally... I look forward to seeing you play good footy for a team who misses the finals. That would make me really, really happy.

Its all just lip service, in order to protect his image and character.

And my time is being used wisely, thanks for your consideration.

I still fail to see the desire behind going to Collingwood? Is it the high profile club that appeals?

I originally thought it may of had something to with the high rotations suiting his body. However, reading Collingwood presser, they are not looking at "preserving" Luke's body, in fact quite the opposite.

He has been brought to the club to protect the likes of Beams and Sidebottom, which translates to the fact that they will use his body like a battering ram, just with no-one to share the load with this time.

Can't wait for Lenny to clean him up.

I am sure that there is a rule in football that you can only dispose of the Ball by punching it with your fist or kicking it with your foot.

Can a practice match be arranged for the St Kilda supporters to dispose of the Ball, before the players get their chance.

Yes his former teammates will love him. They made the salary sacrifices to keep the team together while he creamed the big bucks and then crapped on them as he left.
