I remember Brad Hardie saying that in 2005 when he won the medal he

polled in 8 games and the next year he polled in more games but only ever

received 1 vote in any game. Which season was his best?
I never understand that saying of stealing the votes. If you are best you get 3 votes and if you are 3rd best you get one vote. How are you stealing a persons votes.

I think you do understand. It's not stealing, it's competing for
votes. The more decent players you have, the less you stand out.

You think Adam Cooney would have won last year had he played for Geelong?

You only have to look at the saintsational forum to see how opinion differs as

to who is the best on the ground. Last week against the swans most people

voted for either Schneider, BJ or Monty as the best with a couple voting

NDS and Ray as the best. So how can the umpires be assured to vote for

him as the best player if we all don't.

Yes if the umpires thought he was best on the ground 8 times.

which games would he have scored in?
I have Leigh Montagna scoring in the following rounds.....

Round 3 vs West Coast (3 Votes)
Round 4 vs Fremantle (2 Votes)
Round 7 vs Collingwood (2 Votes)
Round 8 vs Essendon (1 Vote)
Round 9 vs Brisbane (3 Votes)
Round 10 vs Melbourne (1 Vote)
Round 12 vs Carlton (3 Votes)
Round 15 vs West Coast (3 Votes)
Round 18 vs Sydney (3 Votes)

Total of 21 votes in to this stage on my spreadsheet.

Good total however I still have him behind Gary Ablett (28), Dane Swan (26) and Nick Dal Santo (23).

I will say this though, Montagna will be a DEFINITE top 5 finish if he finishes the year well.
